  • nice m what size stack is on there i have a m in need of one and not shore on the size to go with but i like the sound of that one

  • wow thats exactly like the one my dad had when i was a kid, i loved it then and i still love them now. i can remember riding around with my dad in the fields all day long

  • Looks more Allis Orange than IH Red. Wish they'd fix that. I think Valspar is the culprit.

  • @LightUptheSky000 i just got 2 gallons of that stuff i hope it isnt that orangy color is it?

  • I wanna hear that straight pipe wide open.

  • john deere first with the hand clutch then farmall but man i hate the farmalls with 6 volt still and case come on what did they ever have that competed

  • Right now i have two farmall m's they do not have the "tip toe tire" but they arer in terrible shaper but work well and the engines are sompletly rebulit to have as much power as possibe for it's size. im planning on putting an old V-plow on the front for snow.

  • Not so hard--Case no.1, then JD,and then Farmall--no disrespect to Farmall, they always made a good product, drove well, too, but I prefer a hand clutch.

  • Also, if you're looking at Cubs, make sure it's a genuine U.S. made example- not one of those damn French ones.....

  • is it a diesel engine?

  • @hdug86989 nope

  • my grandpa has a farmall M, and its a absolute blast to drive, its like a sherman tank, anything in your way, brush, stumps, it just runs it over, and it can pull a crapload! i love the Farmall M it looks good, it sounds good, it is good.... its just a beautiful tractor.

  • wonderfull machine the M

I drove one many times back in the early 50's as a young boy

It was a great tractor in its day and you are so lucky to have it my friend.

  • i restore and work on a lot of farm equipment and im a huge farmall fan. nice m, i got a model b im doin now

  • The timming is a little slow About 4* off.

  • whats the advantage of having the front wheels close together?

  • I bet you knew real fast when you got water in your gas...

  • BEAUTIFUL thats all I can say. Did you do everything yourself?

  • I've restored the plow, the tractor was that way when we got it.

  • @gws1988 nice looking plow, now I wanna restore my two bottom JD

  • What a beautiful sound running like a clock

  • Case Farmall or John Deere= the hardest decision of your life

  • I run 'em both. Farmall B, JD A.

  • @born2run76 see right now i like farmall, i bet in 1 hour ill like john deere again

  • @born2run76

good point, i love jhon deere, but ill go with farmall XD

  • @born2run76 the choice is clear my friend....Farmall wins by a long shot with case in second and john deere far down the line

  • @born2run76 I have one of each problem solved! JD AO Farmall/Mccormick w-6 case DV

  • @born2run76 - The fact that you've called it a "Case Farmall" makes me nauseous :(

  • what would be a good old school tractor that is realitively small. my garden is only about 3/4 of an acre. lol, you could just give me that one though. thanks in advance.

  • Farmall Cub, Farmall A, or Super A would be the ideal choice for you. Not too big, but not too small either. Maybe a Ford 9N if you needed a 3 point hitch tractor, but those are a tad too big for just 3/4 acre garden. There's lots of Cubs, & A's out there, & prices are decent. Look on craigslist, & ebay to get an idea. Make sure it's a pre 1960's model in good shape. Paint is no big deal, & sometimes you'll get a better deal on one that only needs cosmetics.

  • cool, thanks. i like those old farmalls.

  • Yeah, they're tough old tractors for sure. My Dad's 1949 Cub still runs like the day it was built. They certainly don't know what the word "quit" means either.

Farmall Cub; The most versatile little tractor that can, & does! Don't be fooled by their size!

  • i think i will try to get a farmall cub. thanks again =)

  • No problem! Glad to help. Happy hunting! My Dad's YT user name is "GP9railfanfan" if you have any questions about something.

  • ill keep you in mind

  • Damn that things nice

  • Kirkconway, MANY old tractors never left the dealer with a muffler, just a little pipe stub.

  • Will a straight pipe suck too much cold air and then suck a valve?

I want to do this to my W-6,

But a friend of mine said it wasnt good on the engine,

  • i just fucken cracked the damn head on my w6 deisel fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 its so gay i was out plowing and it started overheating cooled it down than went out again than when i got back it was hot again and steam was coming out of the radator cap

  • Why in those days americans tractors had the two front wheels so close? sry about the stupid question but its been a curiosity i have, and here in Brazil we dont see this kind of assembly.

And By the way, NICE tractor you have !!

  • The narrow front was nice for tighter turns and really nice for backing up hay racks and wagons. They are a pain in the ass in mud though because they just sink.

  • Hmm, I got it. I just love that old school tractors and I wish I could drive one of these someday.

  • the front wheels would fit in between rows of corn and if you working in a barn you could spin the front wheels side ways and use the brake to turn right around in small spots

  • Nice M sounds good, My grandfather did not run any mufflers on our tractors, and after a day in the field your ears really stung. Your plow stands out nice to. Phil

  • did adjust the fuel screw?

  • Is that straight piped, what size?

  • since the manifold pipe size is 2 1/2 im guess that is a 3 inch stack yea it is a straight pipe to

  • Yanks Buddy

  • no prob man

  • Beautiful M... Sounds great!

  • Great video, and the plow is wonderfully restored. Colors nicely done.

  • that is one big red fightin machine!! i love the sound

  • i have a 1950 -1960 farmall cub we dont now the excat year nice trator tho =)
