in order to get the SD70 to start you have to go t startup options and click on driver commands and add the START STOP LOCOMOTIVES option and then put the sd70s on the diesel refuling station and they fuel up, you issue the start stop command and it starts up and you can use it.

A slug is a locomotive platform without a diesel motor. It has only traction (electric motors) on the wheelsets. Most slugs have no cabs, but some do, most notably the CSX road slugs made from EMD GP30s and GP35s. These have even kept their original carbodies in addition to the cabs and look like ordinary locomotives until you notice the abscence of engine hood doors and radiators.

One thing that spoiled the whole thing is that the cars had to high speed down the hump. /Lars, the maker of the Trainz Humpyard content.

Nothing you can do now, but the grade down the hump is probably too steep and if the pushing speed is too high (>5mph) the cars will roll very unrealistic down the hump. Did you run in CAB mode while making the the video? the cars behave different in CAB mode and starts more slowly. /Lars

I don't remember, I made this almost 2 years ago, and I have uninstalled Trainz since then. Should re-install, and try again through. Also, this video was made with little to no knowlege of how a hump works. :P

get TRS2009. CMP2 is much better then the origonal and it has somthing in its programmming that raises frame rates, but keep in mind, the frame rates might be you computer not the game. wahts your specs?

the first one that is out now is world builder. its basicly a new version of 06' and TC with LOTS of content. the 2nd one due out in march has no route builder and has some payware content (you are stuck with what it comes with) get the one thats out now.

A railroad slug is an accessory to a diesel-electric locomotive. It has trucks with traction motors but is unable to move about under its own power, as it does not contain a prime mover to produce electricity. Instead, it is connected to a locomotive, called the mother, which provides current to operate the traction motors.

Yes. Yes. YES! They are very slow locomotives, and are meant for pushing or pulling heavy loads, not for speed on the mainline. They were mainly found in hump yards, but there aren't many left. Sometimes they are used in swiching duties, such as industrial areas, or just plain swiching in yards, which you don't get to see to often. Hope this answers your question!
