  • I like your videos and I myself am not new to water cooling, but you really need to talk about the real world performance of a water cooling setup. People generally think very highly of water cooling and they need to understand that it might not be what they expect...

  • @TheBTraiin I agree with you that people need to see the real world performance of water-cooling. I have at least 20 different videos with water-cooling performance results. Id say there is actually more people negative towards water-cooling. But usually its just because they are trying to find a reason that they don't need it or because they are jealous of people who have it, not because of the performance.

  • PC porn

  • Hi im new to water cooling not so new to computers and iv been doing a lot of research on the topic I was wondering how do I mount the style of res that you have? "Can't find out what there called"

  • Does it matter which way u set it up I your only cooling a CPU? Like can it go pump-rad-CPU-res-pump? Or what is the best temp results for a single loop plz let me know ASAP!

  • @johnboy73525 You need to go res then pump, so that the pump can be gravity fed from the res. After that it doesn't matter, just choose the most direct route, so that there is as little tubing as possible.

  • Why is it nobody seems to finish a watercooling video series...

  • @jonnylaris I haven't built a suitable system to use as a tutorial yet because I build all extremely high end water-cooled systems. But I am just going to go ahead and do the tutorial using high end hardware within the next fortnight. The parts are here and ready to go. I will keep these videos more just as an introduction and the next video will be the full tutorial.

  • @SingularityComputers Would be great thanks :)

  • @SingularityComputers How much did you spend on all of this?

  • man this guy is so cool. good work man.

  • why no episode 3?

  • @jaheermk Its coming up. I haven't built the right water-cooled system since then to do a tutorial with. I need a mid-range non complex system for my tutorial. I will be building one very soon and will continue the tutorial. I am also going to make up play lists on my channel to break everything down into easy categories so that people can access what they want to see.

  • @SingularityComputers its been 10 mouths!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jaheermk Yep I have been too busy with other things. That is why I am considering starting this guide over again and integrating it all into one video. Now that I am a partner I don't have the 15min time limit to stick too.

  • I would like to ask how i know how much my system giving preasher for the fast dissconect?

  • @hendergab The liquid is usually non-conductive so if it leaks it won't do anything.

  • where do you get those case radiator mounts? The thing that attaches on the back of the case and holds your radiator... I can't find them on frozencpu or any site (not that I know many different sites) thanks

  • @DXZGXZ Try Koolance or Performance PCs.

  • Your vids are really helpful & very much appreciated!! To be honest though (and I mean no offence at all) your system is kinda ugly :( There's just waaay too much going too look in any way sexy, Maxishine I think gets the combo of performance/looks just right.

  • @Jorgie0101 There are water-cooling systems far more complex than this one out there. Maxishine has not used dual loops that is the only difference. He also cools less hardware, so has less water-cooling components. The only way I could reduce my tubing is by having single loops and bay reservoirs which are ugly and often kill flow big time. I personally prefer cylinder reservoirs. My system can be pulled apart in minutes because of all the quick disconnects.

  • @SingularityComputers Yeah you're right, I guess that's another thing people need to consider when going down the water cooling route. Thanks for the guide vids though, they're probably the most straight forward I've found on Youtube so far!

  • i have got a antec 600 would i be able to water cool the cpu (1155) for mid level use and will everything fit?

And around how much would it cost?

  • @taz001ish If you are only cooling the CPU and going for custom WC, the cost will be from $300-$500 depending how far you want to go. Im talking about doing it properly by the way, with high quality components, good flow, an upgrade path, compression fittings, etc. PM me about your case mate, I can give you a lengthy explanation then and continue to help you out.

  • Doh, forget that my bad x

  • The question i have is about rad size, can you tell us what size rad for application for example a 240mm will do only cpu and gpu, 360mm for mobo , xxx mm for everything. Can you include the l/hr of pumps that mite be needed for these applications as you didnt say much in the last vid about it. Im looking to have a high overclocked pc and you are defo the man in the know about this stuff

  • @Raw2v07 I am going to put all that in the next video mate. I am actually thinking of starting the whole guide again because I have taken so long to finish it. I have some major water-cooling builds coming up so I can do a full tutorial then.

  • So is your water cooling a pre-built system or did you buy the components like the pump, tank etc ?

if yes, then what are the components needed for water-cooling?

    Thank you :D

  • @GamePlayWolfman I buy all the separate parts and assemble the system. Watch Episode 1 of this water-cooling guide and I answer exactly what you have asked.

  • What do u do for a living

All your builds are soo nice!

  • @10thprestigepro Custom systems and water-cooling.

  • whats the size of the orange tubes?

  • @papercut272 1/2"

  • thats just daft that..lol

  • Great video's mate really good

  • this is not a good setup. sorry sir

  • you are a freak this is cooling over kill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is just fucking bad ASS!

  • You don't find that your temps aren't that great having the radiator at the top and latent case heat going thru the rad as against having at the bottom and the opposite being true?

  • Holy Fuck This is A NASA Computer :)

  • That is so much work lol

  • Don't let homeland security see your computer lol.

  • are all these systems yours ?

  • Great video and very informative. Does anyone know what he used to mount his external radiator on his tower there? (The scissor device)

  • nice ~~~ too hard for me to do it myself ~ or may be too lazy to learn haha

  • awesome video! Lots of info... thinking about going for full on WC vs the H100 from corsair

  • My wife and I game in the same room, and we both have really high end gaming rigs. (OCed i7's with 480GTX's in Tri-SLI). The heat coming from both of the PCs is massive, so our office room gets very hot, even with our central air turned way down. I never touched water cooling before, so my question is; Would it be feasible to keep waterboxes outside and running just the tubing through a window to the PC's to cool the parts? So that most of the heat is dumped outside?

  • @Sanosukeafo you could as long as it doesnt rain, also you coud look onto a water cooler that your tubes go into instead of a radiator

  • @Sanosukeafo This is certainly possible, I have seen it done a number of times. You will need to use multiple pumps depending on the distance. PC Watercooling components will take major wear and tear outside. You need to set it up in such a way that the components arent exposed to the outdoors. Have them taking in cold air from outside and blowing the hot air out possibly through ducting and vents.

  • @SingularityComputers Hmm, ok so I can run the rads and tubing outside, but then I need to waterproof them. Do you have any examples of a person putting this into practacle use? Pictures? Diagrams? videos? With 2 or more high end PCs in a single room, temps can climb from 70 degrees (Which imo is running the central AC VERY low) upwards to 80 or 90 degrees in the room. It seems like running water cooling extended outside is the only viable choice for people living in warm states.

  • @Sanosukeafo I know I have seen a couple on XstremeSystems, have a look through the Liquid Cooling Case gallery. Also Project L3p D3sk, just Google it and you will find it. That is some awesome inspiration, highly recommended.

  • @Sanosukeafo I saw on a video somewhere someone had there watercooling rads under their house so it could suck as much air it could with out being able to hear it or be exposed to the environment

  • @SingularityComputers I'm just having a hard time figuring out what it would look like. I'm in the military and up until last month, our power was payed by the government. Now we have to pay our own power bills, and running 2 high end PCs in a single room, with a window AC unit at 70 degrees, my power bill was running upwards to 650-700 dollars a month (Granted, Hawaii is almost double the KWPH rate of other states, so in comparison, our power bill in the mainland would have been about $350)

  • @SingularityComputers One last question, what is that bracket you're using to attach and space the rad away from the back of the PC on the first set up in your video. Looks like it could be useful.

  • @Sanosukeafo

Use a Automotive radiator (a tubed radiator like a A/C condenser or transmission cooler, not a passthrough radiator used for the engine block). Second step is tubing that is outside should be made of metal, vinyl and such will decompose from UV light via sun exposer. Last part is getting a pump that can overcome the resistence and pressure created based line/hose lenght.

  • @Lokivoid Ok that all sounds do-able, but one question i've been going over in my head is powering the fans, and managing cables. For example, in a normal water cooling kit, if you use a 360 radiator you got at least 3 120mm case fans attached to it. Where do run the cable to power them if you mount your rad on the outside of your case? Aren't fan cables short? Wouldn't it look sloppy? If the rad is all the way outside, how would I run the fan cables all the way to the PC? Any alternatives?

  • @Lokivoid Also, what about heat? I mean, if the radiator tubes are out in the sun, and the radiators are outside in 85-95 degree weather, wouldn't that kill the cooling capability of the system? The lowest temp you can achieve with any water or air cooling is ambient temperature. So in the outside case here in hawaii that would be like 90+ degrees not even including sunlight heat. Just sounds bad.

  • @Sanosukeafo

Theres way around this, first one is negateing the asumption of "The lowest temp you can achieve with any water or air cooling is ambient temperature". Heat pumps will get around this fact to a degree however it almost doubles the amount of heat you have to dissipation. You could just use a inline water chiller (there easy to make out of old dehumidifiers). Theres a number of ways around this depending on what you have on hand and your budget.

  • @Sanosukeafo

I also failed to note that Heatpumps ie TEC(peltier) plates are a nightmare to wire up on GPU's, if you using a duel GPU card such as the 6990 or GTX 590 generateing about 175 watts of heat per GPU so using two 226w plates your looking at a additional 452 watts of heat per card (asumeing your running them at full power) for a total of 802 watts of heat total (this is under the asumption of a heavy overclock and plates being driven at max rating)

  • @Sanosukeafo Yea i am in the same boat. We have a i7-975 and a QX9650 both a OCed. if its the summer you might not be able to have the rads outside if it pumping 90 degree air into the rad then you will always be running hotter than that. We have our rads sitting at the intake of our window unit AC. Room doesnt get as hot and it helps pull air through. But water cooling is SOOO worth it even if you are not OCing on highend systems it makes things alot cooler in the room instead that heat in case

  • could you please help me oout with this. Im trying to make a compression 90 but i need one that coes from tubuing to tubing. I dnt need an end that screws into a block. I there any possible way to do that? If so please message my profile. TY so much

    -Dylan_

  • @dylancracken Have a look at the fittings section in the water-cooling section on the Performance PCs website. There is nothing that cant be found in there. I suggest Bitspower fittings, they have the biggest range and the best quality. What you are asking is possible, but you will need more than one fittings Id say. You can use an elbow and a compression fitting or barb on either side.

  • Soo i'm fine to run my x2 Radeon 6990 in crossfireX through one triple Radiator, including my i7 2600k Overclocked? So this is my stuff atm, this is being ran off a Laing D5 with close to the same Reservoir you have, including a Swiftech MCR320-DRIVE Radiator with an Inbuilt Pump.. Reply as quick as possible so i can buy the rest of my parts... ^_^

  • @carbinfibre PM me about this or email me. For CrossfireX 6990s and a 2600K overclocked you are going to need at least a 480mm radiator or equivalent and that is on the low side. If you want to OC the cards as well and push the CPU up close to 5GHz then I would be going for a couple of 360mm radiators. 6990s pump out a lot of heat. So is the MCR320 in a separate loop or the same loop? Because if its in the same that means you have dual 360mm rads which is plenty.

  • i watched a vid before yours he had is ram liquid cooled im surpised u dont

  • @sonoftaz I do now, this was just before I added the memory water-block to the loop. Subscribe to my channel and watch my SIngularity Beast Upgrade series.

  • Hello is there any diffrence which radiator in and out thread i use for cooling?

I have XSPC RX360 Triple Radiator.

  • I never knew computers could be cooled that way in 11:39

  • @klumzypinoy Its potentially: Cheaper, higher performance, smaller lighter more transportable system. Its highly effective and can look great if done right.

  • thats not a computer it is a machine!11!1!!!

  • Very nice. I can't find the "Assembly" video you mention at the end though. Really looking forward to it.

  • @gravitas73 Its coming up soon mate. I need to actually build a water-cooled system for this video, so I am trying to get some sponsorship for it and also need to find a purpose for it once its built. I haven't done any decent client builds for a while so I don't think that's an option. I should have it organized within month otherwise I might look at dissembling and upgrading one of my current builds for the video.

  • Great vid

  • You have my dream buddy, WOW! Respect to your machine. I have Phenom II X4 BE, overclocked 3.9mhz. And I want to ahve it more cooled, but my big water 760i is not doing the job...

  • Sweet computer :)

  • Also take care when selecting Cooling Block/s for your GPU. Graphics Cards advertsed by online retailers can be misleading, check carefully the manufactures part number to confirm if you are purchasing a Reference Card or not. Don't simply go by the photo on the web site. Make sure the GPU Block is compatable to the GPU.
