Legalizing all drugs = intelligence agencies and others of the elite realm being unable to make billions of dollars off of the drug trade. CIA has made a ton of money on the drug trade and has a stronghold on opium in Afghanistan which is why drugs will not be entirely legal in the U.S.
Why can't America get it's head out of it's ass and learn from what the Dutch police officer said; "When we interfere, the problem gets bigger." No wonder.
Most people are just too uptight and stupid to accept the facts on things like this. They feel like they're part of the system that's fighting evil and don't care about reality.
I used I worked I lost it all because i......was on the shit? I have been all my life. Never called in for being on it. Never did go Crazy, kill, cheat, or made my kids live in rat holes. That is untill the task force came busting down the door with automatic weopons, destroying our home, tearing out walls, ducked work, furnishings, killing the pets, beating me down in front of the kids. They found....POUNDS? No...Sacks full....No.....They found 2 baggies with residue.4 yrs 50k, my life gone

But it's safe and okay to be addicted to spending? The War on Drugs is not the only tax-payer funded failure in the US. Congress' addiction to spending and attempt to coerce more money from their enablers is far more harmful and far-reaching than any drug.
The politicians & law enforcers in this country (U.S.A.) are against legalization because - THEY MAKE THE MONEY off it !!!! I do not do drugs or drink alcohol but , people should have the freedom to do so if one chooses ... The closest this country ever got to freedom was after the civil war - circa 1912 .
It's remarkable to see the 'Drug Czar' Asa Hutchinson being unable to comprehend simple facts. 'Drugs fuel crime rise'.. 'we've had remarkable success [over the last 30 years'..
The U.S.A. is the only western, affluent country where the politicians absolutely don't have (nor try) to make any sense.
Asa Hutchinson, you're a fucking jackass!!! you're just reading from the same script that all the other american politicians read from, repeating it back, and closing your eyes to what we all know works!!!
drug dealers are angels who love bunny rabbits and donate to charity. we should free them all, and give them all nobel peace prizes. Hey, You know Obama has started the war on youtube; he goes after anyone who makes a critical video of him, takes their kids, house, wife, car, everything. watch my video about it.
Energy sources without the need for fuel or energy input exist ,But some very powerfull ppl don't want you and me to be free from energy costs,Get a real free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!
those ppl sellin coke in amsterdam are often poor african immigrants, con men who just steal ur money it happens all the time. so dats bullshit. LMAO wen he tries to use the metro to promote his argument it was an article relating to the amount of crime caused by drugs after a charity said we should give out heroin on the national health service to heavy addicts. And WHY do they keep saying they are winning the war on drugs its an explicit LIE!!!
Beneficient neglect or unintended consequences of the drug war? In the main, the Dutch experiment, as a "hands off" approach to personal choice, seems to work, and must certainly save lives and huge amounts of tax payer money in a failed war against individuals.
you can't fight drug use, you can't.. at all.. it has excisted for over 10 000 years and is not going to stop, drugs alow people to vent their frustrations and feel good, its the same as alcohol..
I think I would put the blame on the individuals for their poor choices.
We live in a world where prostitution, sex trafficking, crack babies, are persistent because of the horrible people that force, rope, introduce drugs to people that dont need it.Those kind of people should be arrested.
John Stossel makes excellent points... but what I wonder is, how in the world does he still look the same way he looked 30 years ago? What, does he have the Dick Clark 'syndrome', and never seems to age?!
In all seriousness, the war on drugs is a joke that sends far too many people, those people who physically hurt no one but themselves, in jail.
Oh and the taxes put on pot and prostitution in the Netherlands are a great revenue for the government and society as a whole since those taxes go to helping society as a whole and keeps money from entering the black market meaning that less money is available for the legal market therefore legalize and tax
as someone who grew up in the Netherlands am completely horrified that they think we don't care about our drug addicted people!!!! We are preventing spread of disease, and most clean injection sites offer rehab help. Our drug user population is lower than anywhere else and our prisons a)are not stuffed full b)keep down re-offending rates and c)tend not to institutionalize petty criminals for our system is set up like a community within a prison. People should stop judging people's morality
How can illegal drugs become legal in the future if we don't leave rooms for some concaines, marijuana and herions in America? We need to leave plenty of room for it so that in the future, it will be become more acceptable or legal because of the debate and what you believe in.
The key thing to take away from this part of the video is that in places where there is no prohibition there is far less crime.
The U.S. government hates this concept because they privatized the prison systems, making them big business.
They need to fill those cages with humans so the stock will stay high and they can employ lots of cops and prison guards. All at the expence of a persons life. A life for a job
I also found it funny how poorly those, I would guess, army grunts shot and held their rifles in Colombia; you see the gun pop and weave around in their arms as they don't properly shoulder it. Talk about a waste of a job. It's like those upstate police officers standing idly behind a barricade. This is the definition of the majority of gov't: purposeless work, it destroys what could've been a wealthier world.
That Hutchinson guy must have an IQ of like 90. Just watching his facial expressions while he struggles with cognitive dissonance, poorly attempting to credit his theory with reality.
I love how John acts like he diagrees to make his point, anyways Stossel is one of the only true journalists now, but the mainstreem media is trying to silence him.
Asa Hutchinson is full of shit. He's just another government employee who takes our money and continues to shovel out nonsense like "We're winning the drug war." Give me a fucking break.
i dnt smoke weed or do any drugs and i support ending the war.... heres a statistic for you it costs about 50k a year per prision inmate and half the ppl in prision are there beacuse of drugs.... do the math
i apologize for not reading your comment regarding the fact that you don't smoke or drink. but i was still pretty pissed off about what you said about hutchinson. these are honest hard-working men with the best of intentions who do their best to prevent drugs from getting to innocent and naive teenagers. its not their fault people choose to get involved in the drug trade in the black market, which thrives becuase drugs are illegal.
