I wish you "whaaa give me manual" crowd would actually spend a few mins learning about DSG, so that you may realise that it DOES use a clutch, infact it uses TWO of them. And yes you CAN control your gear changes as well managing stop-start traffic, and it's FASTER than the manual version, and more fuel efficient. There's a reason why VW sells so many of them, they're excellent units.

WRONG! Massively more than 1% of UK cars are automatic - you plucked that stat out of your arse. This is not any old torque-converter automatic, it is DSG. These "autos" account for at least 40% of UK R32s. The DSG's an incredible system - now synonymous with VAG engineering. The gearchanges are so rapid it easily out-accelerates the manual AND delivers better economy! And the DSG can be remapped further. Sorry guys it's not just Stateside you get complete idiots posting on YouTube

there is no such R32 with an auto box. MKVs featured Manuals 02M 6 spd or a 6spd DSG.

And I will find it hard to believe about that 1% figure. if anything manual is the dying breed. where did you see that figure?

Vw has since ditched the VR6 motor in favour of the 2L turbo FSI engine.

I will take a DSG over a manual everytime. I was skeptical when I first tried it, but now I wouldn't go back to a manual shift. The DSG is more fun, especially with the ESP off!!

1. Mk 5 R32 only comes in DSG Transmission in the U.S.A

2. However you can get the Mk4 R32 in a manual gearbox

3. And yes i own a Mk5 R32 but just because i am an american doesnt mean i cant drive a standard. cause i can drive the crap out of a standard ...

2. As I said previously, my car is "stick" or a standard transmission, and the car filmed is NOT MY CAR.

3. Before you start calling people a "dum bitch," learn how to speak proper English and check your information before making a complete fool of yourself.

If you are in the USA, then you have no idea what you are talking about.... or you are mistaking your boyfriend's stick for the gear selector.

the .:R32 just feels fast- to me thats almost as good as driving a car thats actually fast. I drive my '09 R8 like a bitch, but when i drive my sons mkv R32, its like im about to OD on red bull. After all, speed is relative- no matter what people say, the stock 250bhp feels like an even 300 when chucking the car around corners
