gotta think, super buu splits up his power into millions of those little energy blasts, each one powerful enough to kill normal people... Tien is far stronger than a normal person [power level in the millions] so it makes sense that he would be able to avoid getting killed by it. I'd say hes almost at perfect cells level after his training in the mountains. he was able to deflect, dodge survive attacks from gotenks absorbed super buu...

All lines not in the manga. If Kid Buu was realy the strongest Buu Goku wouldnt have been able to fight him atall. Dont forget Gohan after having his potentual unlocked is much stronger then ssj3 Goku (Goku himself said so) and he lost to super buu. Goku was evenly matched with Kid Buu.
