Aww I miss Max Weinberg.The dialogue between him and Conan always kept Late Night classy. He was a good balance to Conan's geekiness.

That said, i'm not a big fan of Andy. His personality is WAY too strong. Instead of complimenting Conan like Max did, Andy praises and edges Conan on. I can see why there good friends, but its not entertaining.

@chewibunny I love Andy. I think the chemistry between Conan, Andy, Max, and Joel was unbeatable back on Late Night. I enjoy Conan on TBS, but the glory days of the writers being able to say what they wanted and create truly funny scenes and skits without fear of censorship are gone. Conan has a much wider audience and TBS, like NBC in the primetime slot with the Tonight Show, is far too limiting.

Don't hate on Andy. I think he has the kind of humor which interacts well with Conan. He was not intended to be, and is not, a replacement for Max. Of course I miss Max, and I hope to see him at least do cameos in future shows, but I still like Andy. If you don't think Andy is funny, check out the comments he makes in Conans monologues, for example, in 7-11-wine joke, "hints of grapevine and sandlewood". That is chemistry. Sometimes people need to part to their own ways. Good luck Max.

Thumbs up to get Andy off Conan on TBS and and Max back. Andy is NOT funny period. Why are we being forced to watch this guy. The only reason is because he's Conan's friend. He like in 80 percent of the show. His jokes are badly timed. He is corny as hell. If people wanted to see andy he would have his own show. At least give him less screen time and include the band more. The man is always messing up conan's flow. They don't have a good chemistry.Plus late night got really good when he left!

Does any one remember the character the would come on in the middle of a monologue. He was like this teen model guy that would walk in the studio with some punk band music strike a pose while Conan just looks at him like he was transfixed. It was the funniest shit i remember it from back in summer of 2006.

Could not agree with you more on that, I mean the comedy style Conan had on Late Night didn't transcend to the Tonight show. As you mentioned this "nontranscendens" is largely because of Andy, he just doesn't fit in and at times it's awkward.

Cool man. I respect that, but I still stand by what I said. I agree. Andy is good, but it is my honest opinion that Max has better comedic chemistry with Conan. That shouldn't have an effect on position as a fan of Conan. Regardless of who gets the spotlight more - Andy or Max - I will still be a dedicated follower of Conan, and he will continue to be my favorite late night host. It is just my opinion. Despite what you say, I can honestly say that I am a Conan fan.

Yeah, I find Conan has gone back in his shell too much since Andy came back on. He defers to Andy like he did in the 90s, and it just doesn't work for me the way Conan did on his own for the second half of the Late Night period.

Max is my favorite talk show band leader because he sticks to what he does best and keeps the talking to an absolute minimum, unlike Kevin Eubanks and Paul Shaffer who constantly talk over the host like they run the show, which is very annoying. Max rarely speaks, but when he does, it becomes television gold.

Definitely agree with whatever Max says is over the top hilarious. Almost makes you want to hear him more (it would be nice) but his sporadic inclusions definitely work for now. Yet I don't believe Eubanks ever spoke out of turn with Leno. If anything, I thought he would compliment him or jump on his mistakes at the right time for great comedic effect. Shaffer however is nothing but an annoying bald ass who needs a dump on his head.

It's sad but I feel like these little exchanges between Conan and Max that where Max kind of gives an ambiguously uncomfortable response to a seemingly normal question is often the highlight of the show and one of the only times I lol during the show these days. I hope Conan doesn't lose his edge when they move to LA, but I def hope they change things up a bit cuz a lot of times it seems like he's phoning it in, sort to speak.
