Northport Tiger Marching Band - Hofstra 2006 - Tiger Terror

I don't think this was 2006 unless they did the exact same routine from my senior year 1998. I highly doubt Mrs. Rush would have done that. Also the stands are a full circle now.

As a graduate of NHS, and a friend of many drum major's and band members, the story is that Hofstra is not a competition anymore because Northport has won every year for a long time now, and other high schools stopped coming due to the fact that they wouldn't win. You can get the videos of past performances form the media center at northport.

why don't they ever use the cadence (i probably spelled that wrong) from this show though? i've never heard it before when we are marching or when the drumline present us their cadences and i've been in this band for the past 3 years so it should have been used... does anyone know why it's not?

@dimitriblova Not sure either. It probably had something to do with a legal/liscencing issue for the arrangement, or either that the band directors ultimately didn't think it worked for marching in parade. I'm pretty sure though that the Twilight Zone Cadence is out of rotation. Also @ouiser31 the hoffstra 2008 video was not recorded. Nobody has it unfortunately.

Exellent job! I just loved the way yall entered the field. Very solid marching performance, nothing sloppy! Great tone quality, and a very nice job!!

I just watched the Hofstra vid. I was a member of the marching band throughout high school. That was 35 yeras ago. The band is fabulous. I was also a member of the very first Northport Tigerettes. There were only about 15 or 20 of us then. You girls TOTALLY rock!!! The whole band does! I still get chills whenever I hear the Northport cadence. The memories will forever be with me....GO BAND!!!! LET'S GO NORTHPORT!!!! Everything else is second best!

My brother told me about this posting and I couldn't wait to watch. I was in the marching band 35 years ago. I was also on the very first kickline with Lois Elsinger. I am TOTALLY blow away by the girls and the band,in general. I still get chills whenever I hear the Northport cadence. You will forever be a part of my high school memories. You guys are awesome! I'm an oldtimer from NHS and live in TX now. My nephew is center snare in drumline here. More like drumcorps, but awesome just the same.
