Having painstakingly figured it out in FFX I hated to figure this one out too ;) Took me a few runs, But when you Blitz, you REALLY need to train and play games in Exhibition against ONLY the Kilika Beasts, to take your team up one by one.

From then on be creative, add players, figure out how training works, and have fun!

Man, reading over all of these pejorative comments over FFX-2's Blitzball is really frustrating.

At first, the game doesn't seem to make any sense.

But after you invest a little time into it, things finally start panning out right.

The biggest mistake a person can make is to immediately jump into Tournaments and the League because the Gullwings initial team stats/players... suck.

Exhibition matches against the Kilika Beast is where you should begin.

After earning CP, use it on training your team members (I'd advise reading a GameFaq guide on that, it's a lil bit too much to explain in one YouTube message...)

Anyways, after you start to really get into FFX-2's Blitzball, you can truly start to appreciate/enjoy it.

Seeing your team that you've crafted perform a shit ton of Volleys and Corkscrew shots and beating the dreaded Al Bhed Psyches is really rewarding.

Especially since you can earn some AP Eggs/Crystal Bangles too!

I like the blitz in ffx better. You can actually understand what's going on.

Blitzball in FFX-2 is super confusing at first (and I just LOVED how there wasn't anything much of a Tutorial -.-)

But after playing around with it for awhile, things finally start making sense. I then looked into some guides on Blitzball from gamefaqs, which helped cleared up any other confusion I had.

After that, Blitzball in FFX-2 was a ton of fun as the games were soooooooooooooo much faster (10min+ for a game in FFX was terrible...)

It just definitely takes getting used to.

@Gothax8334 Actually this game and Final Fantasy X are a few centuries before Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantsy 8 is a century after Final Fantasy 7 so yeah

@Gothax8334 Um yeah 7 and 10 and 10-2 are linked and you can even watch the interview where the story designer or what ever he was said that he added shinra in there too be like a clue too FF7 players and Shinra in the game even says Mako Energy which is what they were trying too harvest in 7

You can zoom in on the action to change crap like the player's adrenaline levels, but that gets them injured easier despite making them play harder.

Coming to Luca, its our LUCKY day as BLIZTBALL season starts! Unfortunately, the Aurochs aren't playing this year due to the new baby. However, the Gullwings are scheduled to play in their place!
