I hate it when people call other animals dinosaurs.. it just bugs me. Dinosaurs were dinosaurs. Not fish, not crocodiles, not birds(though birds descended from them).

This arapiama was imported to he Mekong region of Asia because the are nearly extinct in the wild in South America. They are thriving in Asia to the point of being pests now. At least they can be imported back to the Amazon when a release program is established. For now PPL can sport fish for them in Asia without harming the population, and they also feed alot of people living along the mekong. Makes you wonder if tranplanting the Mekong Catfish to the Amazon might save it?
arapaima, they are protected by the brazilian govt. they were overfished and almost became extinct in the 80's supposedly they are capable of killing humans. hopefully you won't get fined for this one.
I believe that is an airapaima, not very prehistoric. cool vid
