GamesWorkshop Paint are acrylic paints, howver keep in mind that wile GW paints are Acrylic paints, there is a broad spectrum of quality from different manufacturers, Standard Craft paint that you get from the Dollar store is on the very low end side but still acceptable, It is what I used when I first started painting for two reasons: it was easy to get and it is economical. Consider this if you were able to buy GW paint by the Gallon it would set you back over $1000.00 per gallon!
