Absolutely the worst impressionist I've ever seen. He could only impersonate mannerisms. All of the voices sound like his regular voice. Also most people he impersonated were hack. George W. I do however think he was pretty brave in doing Jim Carey and although his voice didnt sound much like Jim Careys, he got his manarisms and his over the top rant style speech pretty spot on so I must say A+ for effort. I saw one where he was doing impressions of famous singers. He was a whole lot better with those. I think this is quick padding. But quite frankly, everything I wrote previously is true and you know it. EVERYONE can do what he's doing with Stallone, Tyson and Cruise and EVERY impressionist does Nicholson (he's just mimicking Jim Carey and Robin Williams from years ago) and his Eastwood is a direct rip off of Carey's shaping of the hat except Carey whistled the theme exactly, this was sloppy.

The routine has been done by other people & when they did the Eastwood they would "mime" putting on the hat & shaping the brim over the eyes & whistle the theme like in the movie. These are all impressions of other comic's impressions, but down a notch.

The Golden Nugget is NOT a major casino, not since the early 80's, its downtown (miles away from the strip) with the rest of the older places the locals hang out. It's owned by Landry's Seafood and Steak Restaurant Chain, LOL! It doesn't have a main showroom, just a lounge they call the ballroom with stackable chairs. Of course it sells out, its just a cover charge for the bar and is relatively small. Perfect for this guy to learn his craft.

I think the reason you thought The Golden Nugget was a major casino is because it shows up in a lot of old movies like the Bond film Diamonds Are Forever. That was 1971. The shift to the strip in the 80's around Caesar's (Mirage, MGM, Treasure Island, New York New York, etc., etc.) pretty much killed off downtown. There's a free light show that draws some tourists but the casinos are either closed up or operate for locals. Perfect place for an act like his to practice.

You are wrong. There is a pecking order in Vegas. No casino downtown, including The Golden Nugget, has a first tier showroom. Many acts that have proven to have an audience will move on from the second and third tier theater in a smaller casino to a second tier theater in a major casino on the south part of the strip and then to a first tier theater. These are acts that become known because of their Vegas act. He is on Letterman because The Golden Nugget booked him, that's how it ALWAYS works.
