Does this issue only apply for ATI and not Nvidia?

It's the combination of your card and dx level that does it. And its only on ati cards

exactly, ati cards with dx95 will let flashes be shorter with a smoother after-flash effect which is the main problem of side and back flash.

@dx81 on ati cards if you get flashed on side or in the back you will dodge them but a white effect screen will appear and that's the correct flash effect, and that's also why some ppl playing ati@dx95 don't get flashed sometimes.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why flashes never work on some guys. I use Nvidia card, guess that explains a lot...

@Shini1984 its not your card, its the DX level the game is set too...

@Masonc898 I'm pretty sure there is a difference between Nvidia and Ati cards, but it's less noticeable than dxlevel.
