@Xisayuhhx - Looks like two different violins. They make violins in different sizes up to Contrabass (bigger then a cello) - they're just tuned in 5ths, have one less string, and no C extender.

I think it's funny that the camera is mostly on the violinist on the left during the "violin solo" parts, when it's actually the one on the right that's playing the lead violin parts. He never did get a good solo shot.

I cannot begin to fathom the awesomeness of Thrice. Dustin's lyrics are brilliant and his singing emotional. Riley's drumming sounds great and is perfectly arranged for the songs it's in. Teppie is a genius at mixing and producing stuff cause he did everything on The Alchemy Index and he's also a criminally underrated guitarist, And last but not least Ed gets such great tones from his bass and is a really great song-writer (he wrote Talking Through Glass/We Move Like Swing Sets).Long Live Thrice

@x311i0t I know what you're talking about, but it could also be the fact that he's using an acoustic-electric. Those things, literally, pick up everything...just a little different than a mic's acoustic. I tend to get a twangy sound like that with my pops' guitar.
