  • Toca weono!!!

  • talking and buying is 1, playing is 2

  • 1:10 back when Netflix was only 8.99...

  • I,ve just learnt to make an omelette.

  • After watching it I can see why the teles on, it's more interesting.

  • why has he got the tele on?

  • There is also a preset built in to the amp called ac30bm. This models the ac 30 that brian uses. just saying

  • got the vox amp, the brian may guitar, the english accent. all so english.

  • hehe, Primeval in the background :D, but apart from that it's a great amp

  • Which way do the switches for "out of phase"position please?

  • which way do the switches go for "In phase" position?

  • ive spoken to some people on the fourumms.

god your accent is awesome im jelous

  • awful playing.

  • Nice one. Thanks.

  • May had plenty of top-end treble and tons of thick overdrive....

this amp supplies both fairly accurately.

    I love this little amp.

It really doesn't ,atter if you're a Queen, AC/DC, Hendrix, Van Halen or G'n'R fan...

this amp will deliver close tone to your needs.

  • Fantastic little amp! I have the Vox Vt-30 and I'm continually knocked out by it. Really, it's the best amp I've ever played through for the money. Next project: redo a strat with Trisonics and BM switching ;)

  • @audiotrax2000 i also have one its just amazing how so much tone comes from one small amp. My personal favorite setting is the uk modern. It has alot of depth and drive to it

  • what guitar is that???

  • Блядь, ты слишком много пиздишь, заебался ждать, до конца не досмотрел

  • how much does it weigh, for bike transport's sake

  • @fredgrohl

You would not want to try to carry the VT30 on a bike. Maybe the VT15

  • @FishamusMcFarland Duh! Only ever valves where possible!

  • Those Klipsch computer speaker system in the back are awesome, got me a set.

  • @jackjackutube I pay like €200 here in Holland (30 watt) The 15 watt model is €170

  • @wotererio 200 is too much, at other shops you can buy the 30 watt in the hague for 189-195

  • @jeroenwaaromniet I´m probably going there soon (probably to Rock Palace to test some guitars) Well, thanks for the warning ;-)

  • greeting.. is it a tube amp or solid state amp?? im confused

  • @Orbsee kinda like a hybrid :)

  • Horrible demo, fukin wanker, you can't do a precise demo with a brian may piece of sht and a treble booster. Yeah thats what we want a gay brian may sound.

  • @tydogg75 yes actually mr.wanker , we do want that gay brian may sound.

  • i wonder how many i could save by switching to progressive ;) nice playing btw

  • wtf, i just noticed that i have the exact same TV and stand as you :O

awesome demo by the way, definitely getting one of these!

  • hey im trying to decide wich one to get-the vt30 or vt50-i figured that vt50 might be to big but i just wanna know if the vt30 has the exact same board. you know effects, amp models, etc... down to the last one. so yeah if you can just try and get back to me... thank you

  • @TheStopSeries google it?

  • Is he playing using a coin like Brian May aswell?

  • i wonder if hes a fan of Brian May?

  • any body find there self watching hte tv in the corner haha

is this better than a marshall mg 30 fx?

  • @FishamusMcFarland Ok, i will check those out, thanks alot for the reply man :)

  • @FishamusMcFarland ahh.. i see, how? anyways

  • very nice playing man and a nice demo also :), i've got a question, Should i get this amp or Marshall MG30? ppl who own marshalls says it's better than this and ppl who owns vox says it's better than marshall, Thanks

  • This is by far the best amp I've ever had. And Ive had Marshalls, Peaveys and Fenders. Vox Valvetronix + Fender Strat = KILLER.

  • all you need now is a wig

  • @TheLedGuitarist hahahaaaaa yeah hahahaa

  • hey lee,

do you recommend this amp as something I could keep long term? ie something I would never need to change for home practise as my playing improves?

    cheers

  • Not to be nosy but, it's one of the best amps for beginners from what i've searched and read around youtube, and it sounds great.

Still, I highly recommend that you TEST a lot of amps at the store till you get one of your taste.

  • @carlosewm thanks dude. im getting it for £120 of someone i know... so its not a bad price. I had a quick go on it and it seems fine.

my guitar tutor told me i cant do without an amp... iv always just plugged my guitar straight into my laptop, maybe thats why im so rubbish at guitar lol

  • Don't worry, it takes time to learn to play correctly and stuff, just make sure you're playing the right notes, don't rush, and focus on getting rid of bad addictions (mine was pinched harmonics lol). Speed comes along with practice in most cases.

  • nice my dad has a vox

  • Is this a good amp for classic rock?

where did ya get tha guitar? :D

  • Would this be any good live?

  • Im sure it would sound pretty good.... its also pretty loud!

  • @leebaguk I noticed it being very loud, which is a pluspoint.

I have bought a VT15, and have to use it in my band and for gigs... Lucky it goes loud enough, although its real close

  • @09phillt It sounds ok at higher volumes but an all tube amp is much better live.

  • is there a clean channel on this amp where only the pure sound of the guitar is heard?

  • Yes, you can just put in on a clean channel, drop the gain, up the volume and you will hear the guitar ;)

  • @Ekkiejj thanks!

  • Yes... as already stated you can turn a lot of the models into clean sounds.... theres a lot of variations to play with!

  • thanks

  • you are great to make reviews :-) could you please tell us more about your brian may sound :-) u great

  • Ahhhh well thankyou! Yes... maybe I will post up the BM sound video I have made very soon ....

  • I just bought a vt30, and when i put the gain up, on many simulations, it sounds very electronic, metalish muddy? I'm looking for a solid pure rock tone. do you have any suggestions?

  • To be honest I have never had that problem on this amp.... it sounds very "organic" to me... previous amps I have owned have sounded very digital but this one doesn't..

I think you may have a lemon... try it in your local music store to see if its faulty...

  • my fender frontman 65r broke today, lost all overdrive on it, i was never happy with my purchase (i was a noob when bought it lol) this amp is better that the frontman right?

    thanks

    x

  • than*

  • I have had this amp for almost a year and have been so VERY happy with it... the way I set it up gives me all the tones I have ever wanted... a great amp.... IMHO

  • Getting 1 2day

  • dude just play!!! u dont even touch ur guitar until 1:30 into the movie... JUST PLAY!!!

  • I think he is using a coin as a pick.

  • well spotted !

  • Nice Brian May Guitar replica.

  • lo primero esque empezara por aprender un poco a tocar y luego que salga en un video porque cuando cambia apenas se nota el cambio en el amplificador ya que no se entiende lo que toca por su falta de tecnica y dominio que es nulo....

  • english please

  • short version of jesusbjordan would be: the guy in the video sucks @guitar

  • @Valensi127 lol'd

  • hahaha I cannot disagree! hahaha

  • @Valensi127 c'mon man, he's not showing off his guitar skills in this vid, he's demonstrating an amplifier. I love this vid and it has completely sold me the idea of getting a vt30 :)

  • i was just traslating what other guy said in spanish u.u i just wrote the short version, i mean i'm nobody to say that someone sucks at guitar since i'm just a beginner

  • No offence taken I assure you! correct Greg.... it's about the amp and such NOT my bad playing hahaha The VT30 is a great amp... you will be very pleased if you get one.... thanks!

  • actually i bought one 2 weeks ago :)

  • @Valensi127 are you using a coin?

  • Yes ... a silver sixpence .... Brian May uses the same thing and now I am used to using it I cant use anything else! hahaa

  • no, i use my fingers...

  • which amp out of the vt-30 and the randall 40r is a better sounding amp with and without treble booster? anyone please. thnx.

  • Hi, I bought this amp for my daughter last Christmas. Now , I like it as well. The one thing I do not like is a lack of an effects loop on the 15, 30, and 50 watt models. I like delay, chorus and all, but I would rather run pedals for these effects rather than the onboard effects. How does this amp take pedals in front rather than an effects loop. Thanks

  • Thanks for the comment ... Heres the deal .... I too find the effects on the amp to be okay but want to put "real" pedals in front of the amp instead of the in built ones. The problem is (as you may know) is that without an effects loop it is going to sound fairly bad. This is due to not being able to bypass the pre-amp so it gets a little muddled. I am investigating a simple mod to make a bypass. Stay Tuned okay?

  • brian may ftw.

  • Hey man i love blues but also play metal.would this amp sound good ith a metal zone? etc,,I love vox and want to buy this. But im torn between buying a peavy valveking for all tube and running a vox le through it,what your opinon? nice review

  • dude, less talking more playing!

  • so so sorry ... will try harder next time

  • dont apologize

  • which is better vox 30vt or roland cube 30x?

  • vox vt30, the rolands are crap

  • thanks man!

  • Did Brian May traditionally use the single coils in series or the pickups by themselfs when soloing.

  • he tended to use two in series and then switching one of them out of phase... especially for the screamy stuff ... try the neck and middle with the neck out of phase for the classic Bo Rhap stuff....

  • Thanks a lot.

  • yeah its like anywhere on the high e string its like a screechy vibration, almost like a very fast tremolo. its hard to explain but its just not a smooth sound at all

  • he could of turned his tele off lol

  • thats what i thought. my old strat did the same thing and everytime i changed the strings it was fine for a few days but happened again

  • Hey Yankeezzz01 check out my reply to your other comment... thanks :)

  • is there a cd in jack to play music through the amp

  • No ... not on this amp.

  • i noticed as my gain goes anywhere past 70 percent it gives me a real scorch on the high e, is that my amp, guitar, or string?

  • i guess your string is rusty already.

  • There is sometimes too much gain on some of the High Gain models.... mine does it too ... does it sound like a microphone feedback screech??

  • on the ac-30bm section does it have a treble booster in it?

  • Yes and no . The AC30 comes with 2 different versions. Regular, Top Boost and the BM model... the BM model INCLUDES the treble Booster ... however you get a much better sound when using a REAL Booster and the regular AC30 setting. The BM AC30 model on the amp is still very "Brian" though ...

  • thnx

  • dear leebaguk... really nice video, one question, you think i can get a clena guitar like nirvana´s clean sound with the vt-30? thanks a lot

  • Yes. The amp has a large array of VERY nice clean sounds....

  • i have the same equipment as you. the vox vt30, red special from brian may guitars, and digitech vox pedal. When you wanna get the closest brian may sound do you use all both the booster and brian may digitech at once or just on of them with the amp?

  • I have been experimenting and I would say the closest sound is definately WITHOUT the BM pedal. Just the treble Booster and the amp is far superior....

  • i would definetly agree. I used to be obsessed with my BM pedal but now ive grown out of it. You get such a better sound with the treble booster and the ac30 tb setting on the amp. When you are using the neck and middle out of phase with the BM pedal it sounds very underpowered. The only thing i would need to use the pedal for is the keep yourself alive tone (until i get a foxx phaser). Now I dont even need to use the amp that much cuz i got an ac30 cc2

  • Yeah. Here's the thing though.... I have a small home recording setup using studio monitors and a digital 8Track... When I use the BM Pedal through that kind of setup it sounds almost IDENTICAL to the real tones. The pedal comes to life! I think it was designed and tested in a studio setup environment as apposed to a live setup. I will be doing a new video showing what I mean this weekend I hope and you will see what I mean. Thanks for the feedback... means a lot ...

  • No buzz problems here, Use a 3pin plug. Don't use the one supplied by the amp. IF you're in the UK/Europe should should be able to use 3 pins... the ones used by computers.

  • Thankyou ... I think so too....

  • i like your voice lol

  • thanks... hahaaa

  • nice guitar

  • isn't it really really load to have the master volume on full?

  • I have not yet had chance to really crank it but yes... it's pretty loud (3/4) The good thing about this is that you can crank the volume and master volume to get the driven sound but still have the amp on a low overall volume thanks to the built in attenuator.... good stuff

  • I love that amp :D

  • Iv used the 50 watt ones live.

  • whats the crack with this amp then mate is it any good?? cheers..

  • sorry to have wasted your time Chaazums.

  • i have that amp :D

  • Hi! Nice gear. I have the same VOX and plan to buy the same guitar, but I'll go for a FRYER TB PLUS instead of deluxe.

PS-check out my Queen Let me entertain you cover

    Rock on!

  • thanks... saw your cover. A great choice of song! you did well! great job!

  • nice red special man!

  • so this amp aint too loud for home use?

  • Not at all... it has a built in attenuator so you can still get that sound of a fully cranked amp even at low volume OR (as I tend to do) you can always plug in a GOOD set of studio headphones...

  • ok, really nice video btw

  • Im not sure if i should get a vox vt30 or a Vypyr 30 i play mostly metal, but i heard that the vox isent nearly as good as metal as the vypyr, is that tru? or can the vt produce i good metal sound

  • it has some great metal models in my opinion. You should be good.

  • I compared the Vypyr and found the Valvetronix to sound much better, better tone throughout.

  • you english canadian wonder. top video

  • Nope. English living in America. Close though!

  • Hhehehe... I guess you are beginning to loose your English Accent...

  • New York?

  • Very cool demo. I think the reason for the AC30BM model sounding that way is that it is actually set to sound like an AC30BM with a treble booster already in the signal path so with your Fryer booster you are getting extra extra boost lolz

AC30HH is the one i use most of the time on this amp.

You are dead right about the chorus, its just not quite right. Im with you on wanting to get a stand alone chorus pedal to go with this amp.

  • Nope. I didn't like the AC30BM much without the T.Booster. Seems okay at first but has no "feeling"

  • very awesome :)

  • hey again! lol investing in the boss ce-1 would be wise but the retro sonic stereo chorus is as good. just a tip. if you have 2 amps like if you had 2 vt30s it would sound amzing splitting the chorus signal through thr 2 amps! just check my video on just messing around. ul hear the retro sonic chorus in stereo with 2 amps

  • wow mate thanks been wiating for a simple demo of this amp by a brian may fan!

  • Thankyou Nissan.... Will look into those. Nice advice!
