Aaaah, the CBS-TV notice. I notice on this one it's missing the CBS Eye logo in the notice, while on other Norman Lear Shows produced at CBS-TV (i.e. All in the Family, Maude, Good Times, and even the 1st several episodes of One Day at a Time) the eye is present in the notice.
When CBS aired daytime reruns of The Jeffersons there was most definitely the "Distributed by T.A.T. Communications" logo with a synth theme and quickly decreasing reverse zoom star on the T.
The old T.A.T communications OUTSIDE logo contains a yellow star, and it zooms rapidly as the words "Distributed By T.A.T.(In a big blue chrome font, almost taking up the whole screen)Communications Company" is seen against a black background. The Music is an fast-paced 11-note "Christmas-like" synth sound with the last note held longer.
Yup. And the synth sound was a similar sound to what was heard on the Embassy Television logo. Just to give an idea to those who have never seen it or heard it.
The quality is okay., hopefully if the tape is not messed up. Also, though, Shadeed, I was looking on this website that has a GALLERY of photos of logos, and not only is T.A.T Communications on there, but there's a picture of the outside logo, with a blue background.
ahh these plasters over the good stuff! depending on the year this actual episode was made, i'd say the original logo for columbia had to be either the preztel, the sunburst or the torch lady.
In 1975 (when the 1st season of The Jeffersons was made) T.A.T. or NRW had nothing to do with Columbia, later T.A.T. would became Embassy Television, and then Embasy was bought by Coca-Cola Telecommunications, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications was bought by Columbia Pictures Television in the late 80's, so that's why the Columbia logo appears at the end.
Coke created the Columbia Pictures Entertainment division in early 1988 (from 1986-88, it was known as Columbia/Embassy TV) and merged all their TV holdings into it; Sony would take over this from Coke during 1989. Merv Griffin Enterprises was also a part of C/ETV since December 1986.
Anyone know where this fountain is/was? I've always wondered.

rule of thumb, any show produced by Bud Yorkin or Norman Lear will have a Columbia Pictures Television logo at the end.

@vzeu019j That one I remember a very long time ago. I wish they post that old T.A.T logo on youtube.

This looks like an episode from 1980, so it didn't plaster over the Embassy TV logo, just the original CPT logo.
Then again, it may have plastered over an old TAT communication logo (extremely rare, maybe non-existent in 2008).

Oops, sorry. 1975.

I like it from 1982-1985 when the end title theme is playing then the Embassy Television logo and theme plays.

You're half right. Coca-Cola Telecommunications was formed in 1987. Coke bought Embassy Television in 1985.
