  • Which bikes had the canteens attached to the side? I've seen them here in Canada.

  • @muddshshshark

They showed up in the '70's. You can order it, as it fits all of them, it just didn't come factory with the tank until the '70's. It's not a canteen, though, It's a spare fuel tank, more specifically a reserve fuel tank.

  • These bikes are awesome, she shows no real sign of appreciating it. I could accept that better if she didn't seem to fake liking it.

  • BS Her biggest emphasis was on "finally finishing" it, It's not done. the whole intake assembly is missing, there is no downtube cover, and I'm pretty sure most if not all states require at least one mirror. Also I could tell at the end they never got it to idle, it just died to a stop. BTW those are the original tires, they don't make the tread pattern anymore and at 40 years old you should replace them. Restoration.. yeah right

  • @TubinPanther13

I agree with the "finally finishing it" part, and the "not idle" part, but:

    1. How do you know the intake assembly is missing?

    2. My state does not, if it came factory with no mirrors, however, I'm still going to put them on. Safety thing.

    3. How on Earth can you tell if that's the original tire?

  • i can't figure out how to take off the rear wheel and tire on my 1969 ct90. where there should be a nut, is a round thing with a hole in it. what's the trick???

    thanks!

  • @mrbhc183 Thats one end of the axle bolt. The other should have a nut. You will find that removing the smaller nut will allow you to remove the axle shaft but don't forget to undo your brake drum stopper plate, brake cable, and loosen the chain tensioner nuts first. Then you will find that the larger nut need not be removed, only loosened. The design allows you to remove the rear wheel while leaving part of the hub assemble and chain attached to the bike. Clever no?

  • Neat-o, looks weird with no down tube cover though.

  • nice bike and hot chick = good times

  • The bike sounds great too i only wish i could hear you better !!

  • love it, just bought a 72 yesterday. i havent stopped poloshing it lol.

  • Noticed you have a custom air-breather on it instead of the stock air box, does it improve performance/quality? Noticed with my stock air box it chuggs along starving for air...

Also, what is the top speed you have? Mine (not rebuilt, hoping to in the future, struggles to get to 40MPH with me 160lb's on it.. it should hit 55mph no problem, mind u it is not rebuilt..)

    Thanks!

  • @JackofallNutz Clean out the carb.. that helped me BIG time. I'm 230 pounds and I can get mine up to about 48mph with stock air box. Enjoy your Trail 90 man!

  • Great bike, Girl! :-)

  • i love girls that know their bikes :D

  • nice work! Go You!

  • Surprised you didn't rebuild a C100 or something 49cc. Technically the CT90 is a motorcycle as it's above 49cc!

  • depends what state your in, here in wisconsin, anything bigger than 125cc is considered a m/c, yeha, most are 50cc and up!

  • scooter?

  • Nice! I had one. Man, I studipily gave it away! I could kick myself.
