that's not even where i'm coming from. your borderline racist post only shows that you probably should not talk about music.. i've been subjected to this stuff for years, and call it what you will, it has overwhelming indie sensibilities. and aren't indie rock and alt rock pretty much the same idea, except one was created to repackage a genre that had become stale and homogenized?

True 'indie rock' is meant to be based on alternative rock roots, but strays away from this scene, being as avant garde as it is.
Not only that, how many branches of indie are there?
Compare that to how many branches of '_____alternative rock' there are.
