All you walking wounded with written negative comments about her live voice, can look in the mirror...She has more talent in her pinky then most of you knuckleheads. Enya has given her life for her fans. I actually find "May it be" worthier an Oscar than "Into the West", though Annie Lennox' song is special too... Enya's compositions are always so outstanding, match fantasy genre perfectly and this particular piece falls into one's heart and mind deeper than any other IMHO... but well, not the first time that I don't agree with the Academy's decision

I think Enya did admirably and inadvertently lent a beautifully fragile aspect to a song which is about venturing into the scary unknown with hope in your heart.

Who was it who said they performed with notes to herself all around the place just saying, "Breathe!"? I found myself willing her to do just that on the night I saw this live :oD

This is my problem with the oscars. Sometimes they snub people they just give them an oscar for the hell of it. Randy Newman won this year, when this was clearly superior, because it "was his turn"
