I love this song and have done for many years. Your version is incredible. One of the best I have heard. Well done! ( Didn't 'get' the video, but that's a minor thing )
..(get out my passwords)...for I don't hardly ever and want to "use" this account!..yes, who would I haveta be to say that 'you could fine tune this with a few adjustments in your carry of it but very cool!...and also, the catch! 'was thinking that it was 'the "last to" know!....-quite a monumental say of it in a dream: Herb Albert's work...(a little reaching like Jon Secada there but that's all!)....yea!
Excellent version you've done.Very nice in that it retains all the soulful depth and instrumental harmonies of the original, yet offers a modern and more upbeat version!
I don't know how you found out that I love this song, but I'm glad you shared this song to me because every time I hear this song it brings memories of the happy past I had when a guy would serenade me with this song! OH, I just love this song so much. Although I did not end up with the guy, little did he know I also had feelings for him if only he pursued me back to the city where I live....I will always love reminiscing those times. Thank you for sharing again.
Thanks for bringing your video to my attention. It is very nice. You have a great voice. You should take steps to sing professionally. Or maybe you already do. Best of luck to you in all you do.
Is this pre-recorded music you are singing to or did you do the instrumentation too? Great vocals and more impressive if you played the music. It is a visually boring video though. You said it....;not me.
cglazaro100 THANKS for sharing! This is beautiful... Perhaps the most beautiful love song ever written. I think Herb Albert is the only performer to have both a vocal and instrumental to hit number one on the charts.
God smiled on this Earth when he brought us Bacharach and David! Such talented artests.
I like your interpretation of this wonderful "evergreen"..matter of fact I sing this song too with my quartet..do you have a band either..Be good n cheers V
Such a classic so beautiful! I want to convey my love to someone new, but have to hold back 'cause their not ready! Makes me want and need them more everyday!
@deepbreakfast1960 AWE! Passionate play for love! Fabulous! Exactly what this poignant song is all about. Good luck and much fortune to you! If the stars are aligned correctly, you will enjoy what you seek!
Hopefully, you will give that person a few hints when the opportunities come your way, and the timing is right! No guts, no glory!
@ondaness I took a risk in making this one. Most people might find this video, visually boring. Anguish. That's what I was trying to convey. It's a struggle to tell your crush how much you want them.
Rick & I went to see Steve Tyrell at the Jazz Alley back in 2008. He sang this famous Bacharach song. One of our favorite themed Love songs of all time. Great sentiment of capturing this song in a form of a Journal. Smooth & Creative. Thats entertainment! Thanks for taking us back to 1971, the year Rick was born!
Herb Alpert created a beautiful rendition of this song and I've always loved it! During my studio sessions with Joel Mallari at J Studios, I recorded songs that were intended for future projects. This week's posting is one of those songs. This is such a poignantly simple composition. I created this video as a result of a spark that fueled a late night of whimsical expression for my subtle, yet painful, struggle to figure out how to express my love. I hope you agree!
I'm sure there are. Heck, this is a classic song! Unfortunately, this kinda "Guy" gets lost in the shuffle, a wallflower of sorts, often standing behind a crowd of bad seeds. I've seen this "Guy" all around, but hopefully, this "Guy" ends up with the truest happiness ... by patience and perseverance ... with the right "Gal".
Kinda like me. I'm no wallflower. I'm DEFINITELY the luckiest. My Star came right to me. Though it took 30 years and only after a personal self-discovery. God Blessed me.
Classic ... If you love someone , show it.. Life is short :)

Too fast/upbeat for me .
The original sounded like Herp was wooing the woman in their video.

Okay, now that was a ridiculously good cover. Best vocal performance I've ever heard of that song.
