The new Fiskars X series axes do have a nicer carrying case/sheath. Very similar, but they've changed the plastic flap that holds it in the case. Get the new x27 for splitting wood. It works great.
@deasttn Another improvement on the X series is a slight raised ridge on the head of the chopping axes, just before the "plastic". This prevents damage to the "plastic" when splitting logs with the chopping axes.

Boy I know what you mean about splitting. My brother and I did our share of splitting rounds growing up as boys. That axe would have been a cadilac to us if you seen what we had to use. Thanks again for all the videos!

Last year my power was off for about 2 months in the winter but it is things like that define who we are... I will have many more videos soon...
