marikina is a valley, heavy rains from mountains, gush down to the river (Marikina river) in which surrounded by the valley (where people live), the Philippines is also surrounded by more bodies of water. imagine rain pours in 12 hours, accumulates 1 month's worth of rain= flood happens....so the garbage and poor drainage are some factors but do not focus on just those, because there is obviously more to it. keep a positive and encouraging attitude! instead why dont u try &do something to help.
