  • this could form the basis of a great caseette-otron (cassette mellotron)

  • Have you tried turning the tape into a delay for the toy?

  • too much lsd

  • Those absurd 2in1 devices from the 80's... A torch light with radio, an alarm clock with telephone headset... and yes, many times power supply was the only thing in common between both parts

  • awesome piece of crap

  • sounds like a doorbell lol

  • This demands to be circuit bent. :) And to find a way to connect them.

  • Great concept!

  • That is REALLY annoying

  • It sounds as if the batteries are going flat. the instrument sound is not very good, but what do you expect from something that would have been a cheap throw away item back then, where was it made?

  • I have to re-check it at home but I think it was made in Italia (no brand name anywhere)

  • You can make Kraftwerk - Pocket Calculator on it !

  • It's crazy that that thing even exists!!

  • CIRCUIT BEND IT!

  • naw, man.... naw.

  • What's the company/model number of this thing? I want to find one.

  • id use that as a retro looking speaker for my ipod ill put a cassette adaptor in it,

cosmohelectrastudio will a cassette adaptor work in this unit like to play an mp3 player thru it

  • I can't see any reason why it wouldn't, but one thing you may need to be aware of is if the door actually holds the tape as is the case with most cassette players, you need to insert the adaptor as you would a normal tape and close the door, this could mean the the cable running from the adaptor to your iPod is jammed in between the door and the unit. This shouldn't be a problem, but you may damage the cable.

  • if you cut a hole in the door to run the cable that would work but thaty may ruin the retroness of it. id go thru the volume control and tap that.

  • That's another option, but if you want to use this with an iPod without modifying the unit, your best bed is to use a cassette adaptor and leave the door open if you can.

  • Love it!

  • wait, what does the tape player do? This thing looks dope as all hell but I still can't really tell what it does. MORE VIDS!

  • The keyboard play just one horrible sound, and the tape player just badly play tapes, no interactions between the two, you can't record what you play, but I think the look is great !

  • Are you going to circuit bend it?

    Let me know.

    Does the tape player work?
