when does the book come out this video was posted in august of 2009 and it's 2011 and i still don't see anything about a book on the american bully even the website still has that entry blue button to enter your dogs pictures, these fellas need to get with the program lol.

@Taud They are not Pitbulls, they are mixed with either Mastiff or English Bulldog...The bully breed is still very new and dont even come close to outnumber ABPT's..I truly believe that this breed wont last cause once people start to realize Bullies will suffer from joint problems/ among other problems at 3-5 years of age they wont buy the overpriced dog...Right off the bat these dogs need help from humans to even breed and most females need C-sections to have a litter...

@Taud Well hopefully youre right...The ones that Ive seen and read about have all the problems Ive mentioned. I have noticed that certain Bully bloodlines look healthy....This reminds me of the American Bulldog when it was new. There werent too many good breeders or bloodlines. I still find it very hard to believe a breed over 100 years old that was the most popular dog not too long ago is less popular than a breed 10 years old.
@cujo905 funny thing is we have american bulldogs here in canada too and they seem to be very good stock, they tend to be working farm dogs, a lot of the pits here arent really low riding bullys per say that never caught on here, theyre much taller like the am bull so that might be why theres not as much hip problems anyways lots of XXl and dagger breeders and mixers here too BTW

anyone that doesnt have pics of their all the dogs in their pedigree hasn't really tried to look. It took me maybe 2 days to get them all online, I got about 10 generations. Missing 2 pics out of the whole thing. Id be very surprised if it goes back that far. Seems like you have to enter a photo of your dog for it to actually be in the book. I'll bet its gonna be a stupid price too $75+......

Several dogs are mixed in every breed to get the breeders desired needs working, looks, hunting etc. The traditional APBT didn't break 35lbs, through years of selective breeding the standard has changed, similar to the americanized german shepard. Just be careful theres lots of idiots mixing english bulldog blood to get the pocket pit look or mixing mastiff to get size. They don't have the patience for years of selective breeding.

my pit had a litter of 9. all good looking wonderful and loving dogs, put alot of hard time and dedication into making sure they had the best start to their lives. my family kept 3, i kept 1 and i sold the remaining 5 to with my knowlege would be good owners. i recenctly found out on christmas eve that one of the females went missing. the irrisponsible owner reported it but was arrested when her body had been found...she was stoned to death. ive been in pieces since. what should i do???

The Am. Bully movement is about informing dog owners about the Am. Bully, we know it's not a Pitbull its a completely different breed, but people still mistakes dogs like the Am. Staff, some Mastiff breeds, etc as pitbulls when they are not. The Am. Bully is bred from the APBT and the Am. Staff only when Dave Wilson started Razors Edge which is his kennel.

Furthermore... Just because a pedigree sez that is the sire and dam, does not mean that is true. Ill b the first to admit there has been paperhanging with the bullies. The same is true with APBT, Mastiffs, and any other breed. There are unethical breeders that will go ahead and use bulldogs to get that "bully" trait. Just like some game breeders used lab to boost stamina and breathing in THIER stock.. Not in the whole breed!

IMO they would not take the 1st gen. cross and jus throw it in the ring.. Im sure they would utilize that strain until the gameness and respiratory system were where they wanted it to b. I am goin off of what the orig. breeders have said they did. There have been paper hanging and crossing in all breeds. Bottom line: your specialty is game dog, mine is bullies. I however love and respect both. All i want is for the breed i love to get respect for what they are... Not game dogs, but bullies.

Bro, the creator of the Jeep bloodline admitted to this. He said he did this to increase stamina, as well as strengthen the respiratory system. As far as hemphil, people involved claimed that this was true... That one is questionable. But as far as Jeep goes that is certain.

Like i sed... There is paper hanging w/ all breeds.. Your "True" APBT probably has some lab in it. So there are some other breeds dwn the line, but we will never kno for sure.. What is certain is that the APBT is the basis for our breed.

The American Bully is aight if you want a dog for looks, but please dont refer to these dogs as America Pit Bull Terriers! Two totally different dogs! In fact dont even use the word pit with anything that has to do with Bullies, it confuses people. The Am bully is mixed with at least Amstaff and prolly some others, fyi

The Am. Bully movement is about informing dog owners about the Am. Bully, we know it's not a Pitbull its a completely different breed, but people still mistakes dogs like the Am. Staff, some Mastiff breeds, etc as pitbulls when they are not. The Am. Bully is bred from the APBT and the Am. Staff only when Dave Wilson started Razors Edge which is his kennel.
