People forget that no one human is the same as another and although characteristics repeat, the same long stretch of DNA will never ever ever come up twice especially not psycologically, even in identical or siamese twins. It is human nature, biologically programmed that we kill to survive, and this killer instict cant leave, less our species die completly. I am not against the death penalty,

but it does not effectively deter. Life without the possibility of parole is also a strong deterrent. The fact is that killers usually disregard consequences. A good reason against the death penalty is to reduce state budgets, such as California, who cannot afford the excess cost of appeals to bring someone to a death penalty.

If you participate in a crime and know that one of your partners has a deadly weapon, and then this weapon kills someone, you deserve to die.

If the Death Penalty fails to deter crime, it is only because it isn't used enough and the appeals take too long.

We never 100% know if a convicted killer is guilty. Thats why we vote and have trials. Too many people have been proven innocent after serving years on death row by DNA testing. Who knows how many were actually killed. This is why the death penalty should be abolished. The only way i can support it is with a confession. I know its expensive and many people who deserve to die will get life instead, but I dont think that we as a society can afford to take that chance.

Yes, but Foster admitted that he knew his accomplice(s) had weapons and that they intended to commit a violent crime. That fits your criteria for a confession. I reiterate my belief that Foster was sentenced appropriately.

There is not excuse for killing anyone. If you kill in self defense is different, because you do not want to be dead. What about if a criminal kills your little son, your mother, sister, father. Think about cause and effect. That's it. To be in the right way he got to go to jail. When he is going to be dead... that's the time he need to the example in this world.

The point is that people deserve more than one chance simply because they're human. People generally kill because they feel they have to or because they're in a state of mind that doesn't allow them to think clearly. You don't know why he did what he did, maybe he did it because he felt he had to so he could live. Humans have killed each other for thousands of years over land and other things. It's human nature to kill to survive. You probably have no idea what it's like to live on the streets

He's not anymore, this is from a while ago. His case was appealed. Anyway even before he was only found guilty by association. He isn't released but he's not on death row.
