This is pretty accurate. It could be because I go to college in CA, but this video shows a lot of what I see all the time. Liberal professors spewing socialist doctrine and students mindlessly repeating it. It's not just at Berkley. It's all over. Crowder may have used only a few examples, but I can guarantee if he had the ability (and didn't mind how long the video became) he could easily have gone to multiple colleges and universities and found the same thing.

@ilikemitchhedberg The net actually does a lot. You can't constantly reapply ddt at night, and mosquitoes are most active from just before sunset until just after sunrise. Also, the person running the organization didn't say that he was against ddt, just that it was provided by other organizations and that their focus is on mosquito netting. Also, while ddt does kill mosquitoes, it also has many other detriments that make options like nets safer.

This video exposes the biggest problem with education today. There is no critical thought. Note as these kids scan their memories for the answer they were told by a teacher. They toss out semi-related vocab that they remember from some leftist history text.

I was appalled at the lack of intellectual thought when I went to college. I couldn't believe these people actually were accepted to the University. For real one kid did a power point of "world cereal production" and he asked me for help making his map and deciphering his data. When I looked at his map he had uploaded pictures of Kellog's cereal, fruit loops kix's etc... When I told him cereal (and his data set) was the term used for types of bulk grain...he was dumbfounded.

I actually think the world would be better place if people who aren't interested in the hard work of studying the points their opposition make and all that, weren't into politics. This is pretty accurate. It could be because I go to college in CA, but this video shows a lot of what I see all the time. Liberal professors spewing socialist doctrine and students mindlessly repeating it. It's not just at Berkley. It's all over. Crowder may have used only a few examples, but I can guarantee if he had the ability (and didn't mind how long the video became) he could easily have gone to multiple colleges and universities and found the same thing.

This is a very weak argument presented here. Let's remember that the author's conclusion is that 'universities in the U.S encourage idiocy.'
First, there are 2,350 universities in the U.S, but he only surveyed a single one out of the whole group.
Second, he interviewed roughly 12 students at U.C Berkeley, where there are about 30,000 students total.
Finally, knowledge in history is not the measure of an idiot. But offering a regional sample to draw a national conclusion is.

What I noticed during my High School years and my first college year is that Conservatives tend to be the Valedictorians, whereas the liberals scrape by and smoke weed nearly every day. (At my High School graduation there where at least three people stoned.) @ilikemitchhedberg The net actually does a lot. You can't constantly reapply ddt at night, and mosquitoes are most active from just before sunset until just after sunrise. Also, the person running the organization didn't say that he was against ddt, just that it was provided by other organizations and that their focus is on mosquito netting. Also, while ddt does kill mosquitoes, it also has many other detriments that make options like nets safer.

I was appalled at the lack of intellectual thought when I went to college. I couldn't believe these people actually were accepted to the University. For real one kid did a power point of "world cereal production" and he asked me for help making his map and deciphering his data. When I looked at his map he had uploaded pictures of Kellog's cereal, fruit loops kix's etc... When I told him cereal (and his data set) was the term used for types of bulk grain...he was dumbfounded.

I actually think the world would be better place if people who aren't interested in the hard work of studying the points their opposition make and all that, weren't into politics. When I started involving in politics, I grabbed some econ textbooks and study the thing myself: it's exasperating how even ppl with whom I share conclusions aren't interested in thinking stuff through.
