avatar is a great film and most likely the best film by far. i think avatar should win best picture of the year. but 2012 i think deserves an award too. it has amazing special and visual fx that seem really realistic. but yeah i totally agree that avatar is the best motion picture of the year.

@henf5671 I think Avater wins for special effects because it is the best. Cameron invented a whole new type of CGI for this film.

I think it should not win best picture. It lacked in character development and the story, while I loved the part where they just explore this world together, much like in Titanic. If it wins it will only be because of the FX, and I don't think a movie shuold win because of that.

@Masterpieceman16 i don't like this movie as much as i use to. i just saw 'dancing with the wolves' recently and yeah james cameron stole most of the ideas from that film and ideas from the native americans and all he did was just set the story in space and come up with a few ridiculous names and stole Saturn's moon and turned it into a planet (Pandora) for this movie.

@chevyalltheway06 yo just had to say something because i actually live NEAR yellowstone, the same trees shown at 0:46 are the exact same pines found in yellowstone, and Eagle peak is 2,000 feet from the base to the top, just thought you may want to know considering your throwing around facts with no thought.

the explosion was tight but man i swear that was fake beyond fake, i saw it, and 1 minute he's right there before it explodes, then the next minute he's miles and miles away, barely safe from it in a RV. i remember on national geographic or history channel that they said you have tot literally be 100's of miles away in order to be physically safe, that shit was FAKE! but great scene with the explosion!

well. i don't think the end of the world will happen but it will be a spectacular year. in 1 day. 2 eclipses and 1 eclipse of venus covering sun.

and solar storms will be at it's peak. nasa confirmed it. and predict solar storms that MAY knock out whole power grids for weeks.

so something WILL happen.

ALSO the el nino and el nina will be going around too.

so a spectacular year def. not the end of the world

This is what would actually happen if Yellow stone erupted i don't know what it would look like but it could look like that however here the problem they can't out run a ash cloud that big but that 's why there's the plane but at the same time that ash cloud will engulf the entire united states.
