I had a orange cat name Morris kinda looks like your kitty he died him and my African Grey Parrot where best friends too. I have a 1 year old Calico Kitty name misty she and my parrot are becoming friends.
It' sounds like a show that's on, but then it sounds like the parrot is discussing the cat with his mate, while the cat is pretending to sleep, hopefully they'll realize. Until.....:D

Dear Paulixia-parrots can suffer from chlamydia, wich is a bug that infects cat´s eyes. The cat must have conjunctivits and respiratory symptoms to show the disease! ( I´m a vet)
I also have a cat :). Usually I am afraid that my parrot will bite the cat ;) But is good to know that in case your cat bites parrot, you have to go to vet to medicate bird.
My grey Molly and my cat are the best of friends, until Molly decides the cat's tail is a toy. Always be in interference distance.

My cats and bird live inside.And from the 1st day they have played with one another.That has been over 5 years and my cat and birds are fine.
When my bird is on my cats back I wash my bird after in the sink.
I will not let them hang with one another anymore.
I care so much about all my pets,I think it is best I do let them pal together anymore.

You have nice cat :) , but you have to be very careful. In cats mouth is some kind of bacteria that can cause disease (for parrots).
