One one each end. All other plates a re neutral plates and have no wires to them. Each cell is more or less electrically isolated from each other. Series cells..
I think it is because the sooner you get the gas out from between the plates the less ions there are to draw current. The plate spacing of 3/8" inch seems to be the most efficient spacing (when using lye) and everything has been tried.
Very impressive!! Am I wrong in my math? It seems you are only pulling around (round numbers) 440 watts?! I could be way off there, but eiether way this is the cell I have been wanting to build, type.I would be happy to pay you some $ for the right scematic and some helpful pics/explanation(s) on your Plasma Cutter! I seriously would pay you for your time, you deserve it,and I would love to benefit from it as well, but am not sure if I could "get" the scematic alone. Also,r u the guy from OUdotcom?
How did you link each cell electrically? Isn't it required to have every other cell conected to the same polarity? Are just the end plates connected to power?
It is series call, just like stacking batteries. there is no connection between plates except via the water. With baking soda its 4 volts per cell with lye its 2 volts per cell.
Please tell me what gage or size stainless steel you used and also the quality of the stainless? Not sure but I think there's several different grades or alloys?
Ya know, just making some HHO generators in the middle of the woods. No big deal.

No clue why people think Baking soda is OK to use it will break down in your cell and produce a toxic gas.

Its 316 stainless. Thickness does not matter. I have looked at using 316L stainless foil (tool wrap).

Did you make your cell tank from 6" pipe?
goolsnfc 4 years ago
NO It was made from 4" because I wanted it under the hood of my car.
