  • "If you understood the true meaning of worship" if that were so, then why don't we all get undignified like King David did and praise and worship the Lord our God! The music we play has been given to us by the Lord through His Holy Spirit to reach those who will not step foot into His House, but through this venue He has given us, may. Let's not religion them right back out the door.

  • And the guy that is drumming (not trent) is my drum teacher!!!

  • THIS IS MY CHURCH:))))))

  • MegaDeceived - you are. This was designed to bring glory to Christ and it really does.

  • @gary00333 I apologize for offending whoever. But I would rather offend man than God. I understand where you are coming from regarding the ministry changes in the "post-modern" church. However, one thing has not changed. The message of any song is not enough, lest it be just an emotional response to music. ALL music and lyric affects us emotionally, whether secular or Christian. What's sad is when people think they have been in God's presence when it was nothing more than that emotion.

  • @gary00333 Emotion is important to show sorrow or sadness over our sin, but let's not forget what Jesus Himself said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44) The Holy Spirit's work is to draw men to God. He does use music, etc. to get our attention, but whether a song is playing or not, if God's presence is not there, what is?

  • @gary00333 He does use music, etc. to get our attention, but whether a song is playing or not, if God's presence is not there, what is?

***I need to say, I have met T.A. that sang in the Little Drummer Boy video. Personally, I believe he is a good person and has passion for what he does. If the Holy Spirit draws individuals through his talent, thank God.

  • @gary00333 I also watched the HOTEL CALIFORNIA video played at LIFEChurch and feel it is totally inappropriate for this kind of setting, and if the song's message should draw young people, what does that song say? I just think a line has to be drawn. You, however, have not met me, and yet you judge me the same as you feel I have judged. (By the way, people can be drawn by old hymns, too, it's the Spirit doing the drawing.)

  • One day eyes will be opened to the truth about the enemy's works. Being deceived means you don't know you're deceived....I'm not an old fogey either. I like contemporary music, and have been a worship leader in a contemporary church. But I have learned where the line draws. Do your concert somewhere other than the House of God!

  • @MegaDeception101 I challenge you to research how many people were saved the night of that 15 minute "concert". Then I challenge you to research how many people devoted their lives to Christ after the message. I will even help you with the math...start with ONE. That one was the most important person in my life on that day. I stood because of that night, ready to accept the Lord, not because of the music (which was great) but because of the message and the Lord in my heart.

  • If people really understood what worship really is, it wouldn't be so hard to be deceived by this. Worship is meant to connect the spirit to God, not appeal to the flesh. Tell me what you were thinking when you listened to this? DId the praise cause you to think about what God's done? Or the worship to reveal to you who He is? I doubt it, seriously. I know I will offend some, but it will only be those that are deceived into thinking worshiping God is about OUR talent.

  • Song is amazing and I love the way lifechurch.tv puts their personality into it. Job well done. God bless everyone... even the trash talkers

  • Love your use of the left speaker

  • you should check out David Fonseca's cover of this song *.*

  • The second best version of this song - after Joan Jett, of course...;o)

    CSI rulezz!!!:oD

  • K. This is what I think. It's a cover song, performed very well, very professionally. It happened to be a Christian Christmas song, and it happened to be sung in a church. There's nothing wrong with that. It's good music, that many people obviously enjoy.

  • took a boring song and made it fun and exciting imo

  • what is this crud

  • I disagree with the opinion that Rock is not Christian music.

But I have respect for other opinions so in the case of SSenvy.

If he or she feels otherwise that should be okay too;)

  • @SSenvy

It is worshipful you Goose, done in a way that kids relate to. So what if they `rocked` it alittle too `hard` for you... after all its the 2000`s & Rock music is very much apart of Christianity... Some of the Biggest rockbands in the world today are Christians... Move with the times mate : )

  • wow!.. that's awesome :D

  • for all those saying this song is a stolen rendition...who cares. it is a song for jesus so it really doesnt matter who came up with the version that is played.

  • what about The Who.....they totally ripped off The Who.....I am as radical as the next person, but this is a little too hard for church

  • If it is not too "hard" for society, why is it too hard for church? Different people like different types of music. Thats why there are different churches that have different types of music.

  • Drum solo's - Nice work

    Happy Birthday Jesus!!

  • The middle part isn't from Audio Adrenaline's arrangement, though.

  • This isn't really "his rendition"...it's pretty much chord for chord Audio Adrenaline's version.

  • Man that was good. you could not done any beater then that.GOD BLESS YOU

  • Off the hook! I want a recording!

  • This is my favorite song that they do around Christmas. It's always so cool.

  • I like the way you plaed this. It is my favorite carol.

  • you can thank AUDIO ADRENALINE for the arrangement....

  • This is a kick ass rendition of the song, forget about trying to fix something that aint broke, just trying to make something that is old new again. Awesome song, and kick ass drumming.

  • We already have. Just because something gets "updated" doesn't mean the message changes.

  • Would you pass that bit of wisdom along to the "emerging church." They haven't gotten that memo. And what standard do we use to determine that "updated" is always better? Funny, it's been working just fine for the past 2000 years.

  • I think better or worse is a matter of opinion, not theology. Personally, I like the old and the new. So long as the theology doesn't change, I don't get too hung up on the methodology. There's still one God and one Jesus, and he died for ALL of us.

  • "...he died for ALL of us."

Maybe you SHOULD be working on your theology. There is one God, one Jesus, but He died only "for those who would believe."

  • "He died only 'for those who would believe'."

AMEN!!!!!!! Christ's atonement was ACTUAL and COMPLETE. We don't add ANYTHING to it; NOT ONE DROP of the Savior's blood was in vain.

  • The bible hasn't stayed the same for 2000 years. KJV, NKJV, etc. easier to read and language that makes sense so long as it is interpreted verbatim is not changing the WORD but making so anyone can read it. The spanish and german version seem so much easier to understand then the various old english versions that don't make sense today in American english.

  • I think it's great!!!!

    Psalm 149

    Psalm 150

Don't try to bring us Down!

Go back to your Religious Pew and sing out of your Religious Hymnal

  • Guess you told me! BTW, what's with the odd capitalization, i.e. "Down," "Religious Pew" and "Religious Hymnal?"

  • Couldn't leave well enough alone...pitiful. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • It's called awesome.

  • I love Trent to death, he is so blessed with musical talent and he is soooo modest!! I keep hoping someone will put up Trent's LifeChurch version of He Reigns, I still listen to it on the Consumed CD and it still blows me away!!

  • This is for sure the best version of Dummer boy I have ever heard. Solos ROCKED!!!!

  • Trent Austin continues to be THE MAN!! I have been impacted by Trent's playing for 12 or 13 years now, and he continues to blow me away with his genius. The "Who" segment of this song was over the top!! Trent, your skills behind the kit are umatched my brother!!!!! I hope I can hook up with you next time I'm playing around OKC.

  • Wow, this is great !!!!

  • what does the girl say in the beggining?

    Thx

    Cody
