  • Awesome..

  • This is EPIC!!!!!! SUPER LOVE THIS!!!

  • One of the few songs that almost always gets tears from me. My dad passed away a few years ago, so I feel like it's being sung directly to me.

  • Finally a singer that could give Mufasa that authoritaritan he should have as a "king".. Not like some others that make him sound like a 15-year old boy =(

  • Samuel Wright was Sebastian the Crap. They did a whole concert on disney channel with him.

  • hes dead what

  • I feel grim watching this know that that boy is dead :(

  • @spikeyhamster he is not dead...is he?

  • goosebump alert

  • THE Simba. Rest in peace Jason.

  • Jason, he lives in you :)

    R.I.P.

  • This is amazing!

  • Rip Jason u were amazing

U just didn't want to face the pain

  • R.I.P Jason Raize u will b miss :`(

  • awsome voice!!!!! i never get tired of hearing jason's part!!!! r.i.p.

  • Love it.

  • Jason WAS JUST AMAZING....r.i.p..... THERES NEVER BEEN A BETTER SIMBA SINCE!

  • 3:39-3:43 You can just see Jason come out of his character and into his real self, so cute:) R.I.P. Jason

  • I saw this show live when I was in high school! Ever since then I can't help but to compare live plays to it, this show inspired me to get into theatre and I hope to someday write, produce and direct something this memorable.

  • RIP Jason

  • Nobody will ever be good as the original Simba.. R.I.P Jason

  • This is super!

  • goosebumps everytime

  • I love how Mufasa growls while he sings.

  • great performance........good times....

  • OH it's so GREAT

  • ahhh this brings back memories i done a acting class with them over in new york for two days was amazing........ thenwatched there show i learned this song with them too..... xx

  • because his dad didn't accept him being gay

  • why did jason commit suicide??? :(

  • i had no clue jason died! i just became a bug fan of the show, so i'm a bit behind on everything... that's so sad. rip <3

  • Wasn't this originally in the sequel? Or is it the other way around?

  • @isarya6249 It was actually the other way around - this song (and the reprise) was originally created for the Broadway show (technically before that for the album "Rhythm of the Pride Lands" - the opening track) and ended up being used in the opening for Lion King II since it was such a powerful and awesome song :)

  • over a million views & I alone probably saw this over 400,000 times & STILL over 400,000 Chills...very Inspirational!

Jason Raize, I'm speaking to you directly...R.I.P. you're now singing with God's Angels...

    "679"

  • seriously how can you "dislike" this... amazing... but entitled to your opinion

  • Jason was fantastic here, RIP!!

  • omg why the hell did it take such a long time for them to applause -____- that made me feel so bad. Amazing though r.i.p. jason <3

  • adult Simba's voice is sexy!

  • I remember seeing this cast when I was little. My mom told my teacher I'd miss school that day and took me to New York with some of her friends (who I'd grown up with) to see it. It was the first time I'd ever seen a stage show, let along a musical of this magnitude, live. I even had one of those red t-shirts with Rafiki's Simba drawing and "My first Broadway show". I need to see this again. It won't be the same, of course, but I still do.

  • I wish I could have seen this casting. Samuel and Jason ARE Mufasa and Simba to me.

    RIP Jason Riaze (adult Simba).

  • Samuel E. Wright - They Live in You 3:01 mp3 - Найдите и послушайте. Гараздо лучше без женского вокала. Но я не уверен, что это действительно Samuel E. Wright.

  • @beautiefulleo you live near st lious i live in kansas city and im also going to see it. hope i see you there

  • when i saw this on stage i started crying right there in the theatre.

  • I'd give my left arm to see this on Broadway.

  • saw them in vegas two weeks ago AMAZING

  • Awesome play. I saw it twice in London in 2009 and will see it again in St. Louis in 2012.

RIP Jason Raize. You were immensely talented.

  • RIP Jason :'(

  • It doesn't get any better than this if you're not in the theaters!!!

Absolutely amazing and chilling because it's sooooo good!!

  • This play is so awesome I went to go see it last year when they came to philadelphia.

  • Like if you sobbed...

  • The art & creativity in these costumes is brilliant.

  • Everyone in this is so gifted I swear I'm like mesmerized watching this... I saw this when I was way little & it was INCREDIBLE I know because I can still remember parts of it. But Scar scared me when he changed Simba's face. I want to see this again, the African music/singing gets to me and the all of the dancers movement, it's all so perfect & absolutely incredible.

  • i never knew jason was in brother bear

  • Mufasa's voice = marry me

  • @singeatsleep I second that!!!! >///<

  • @singeatsleep You know he played Sebastian from the The Little Mermaid

  • @singeatsleep Fun fact - This Mufasa was actually the voice for Sebastien the crab in Disney's The Little Mermaid :P If you listen closely, it's almost like Sebastien is singing to Simba haha

  • @charcharbinx Yeah I noticed that too when i first heard this song

  • 0:24 ...im raping this replay button =]

  • This is the best Broadway show i have ever seen...i highly recommend you go watch it

  • No matter how it happened, Mr. Raize's death is a tragic event. I hope he's resting in peace. His gift of a voice is being used elsewhere.

  • I don't think he killed himself because he was gay. because i left something on his blog of death and someone knew his family on there and said it was because of crystal or drinking.

  • RIP Jason...never saw the play but from what I see on this, he was a real star

  • The first word Mufasa says just gives me chills

  • Mufassa!

  • this song makes me cry every time i listen to it.

  • goosebumps when simba sings <3

  • My mom played this song at my dads funeral <3

  • its sad that Jasons family could except him for being gay, and sadley he took his own life we lost such a great actor

  • I think at least 100 are from myself, i can watch this over and over and get the same shivers with every note. ~In your reflection, they live in you.

  • 子役の男の子の表情に惹き込まれました!

little boy's eyes so wenderful. I think he is THE SHIMBA!!

  • Ah..honestly I'm gonna say this again Toronto cast nailed it. This guy's voice is too powerful for the role, our Simba (older one) had a voice that matched the personality of the character. A voice that was caught between a boy and a man.

  • I wish I knew who the bassist was.

  • oooh, that was an awkward pause when the song finished and the audience weren't applauding right away....they should, I would have been busting some moves in the aisle when the song finished

  • @THEATREisJOY If they were like me, they were probably blown out of their seats!! It most likely took them a moment to recover :)

  • oh my god this is incredible! They're all amazing but the guys vocals at the end are better than any singer ive seen in any band, and ive seen a lot of live bands!

  • omg....when simba sang i got shivers wow......they all have such beautiful voices

  • I listen to this song nonstop every Easter. "He lives in you, he lives in me!" :)

  • @BaronVonMeggles AMEN! :)

  • Saw this in the west end last saturday and this bit almost made me cry (as did other bits in the show) It's just fantastic!!

  • I could listen to the segment from 3:05 to 3:14 on loop forever. The power with which Jason Raize delivers is incredible. Unfortunately, I watched this on Broadway well after his passing and didn't get to experience his stage presence/talent first hand. It's a shame there was so much turmoil in his life. R.I.P.

  • This > Wicked.

  • Comment removed

  • @Wilburfan1 He hung himself :(

  • This is wonderful. <3

But, just so you know, his name is Samuel E. Wright; you got it wrong in the description. :)

  • 2:14 i just falling in love

  • I have memorized every word to the movies and some of the things are different but I like it that way :)

  • To quote a friend of mine. "Why are black people so talented?"

  • I knew I knew that voice from somewhere.

  • Monica Levinski?

  • Oh my God, IT'S ROSIE ODONELL!!!!!

  • The audio is now fixed!!! HUGE thanks to Google employee ytLarry who fixed the issue, which affected many videos posted from 2006-2008.

  • Samuel E. Wright the man who is in Mufas in this video did the voice of Sebastian the crab in "The Little Mermaid"

  • @59771006 no shit rly???? that's awesome!

  • The audio doesn't work and I have already clicked the link in the description and the audio still doesn't work.

  • @kaiisbeloved Thanks for letting me know, I will be contacting Youtube about this and will hopefully get it fixed ASAP.

  • RIP Jason Raize :'(

    Great performance!

  • Wow...amazing!

  • Thanks a lot for posting this vid...

  • it's been more than a couple of years that I've been coming back to watch this video. Each time, I really feel sad for Jazon Raize. Such great talent!

  • i cant get over how cute the person portraying young simba is!!!! >_<

  • @sushisroxmysox oh heck yea, i agree with you there. xD

  • That wasn't the same mufuasa as the oe i saw last night

  • Isn't the guy playing Mufasa the bad guy in Conan the Barbarian? Or Conan the Destroyer? Can't remember which one.

  • @jonjon535353 If not then he darn sure reminds of him lol

  • @jonjon535353

Well the guy who played the voice for Mufasa in the movie played the bad guy in Conan.

  • @thehoffmanapprentice Thats right! James Earl Jones. He did Darth Vader in star Wars too!

  • I cannot for the life of me get over his vocals, they are absolutely incredible. R.I.P Jason Raize.

  • @dewdropsonroses Me neither. I've watched this so many times in the past couple weeks. There is so much magic going on in this performance. Unprecedented magic.

  • @dewdropsonroses i'm in the same situation, i'm listening his part for the 46th time in a row. MY GOD HE CAN SING. Is he Jason Raize?

  • @laihoz Yeah he is Jason Raize, such a wonderfully talented man.

  • sounds twenty times better than london's version.

  • R.I.P Jason! Now, you're up there watching over us. You live in us through your music and great memories.

  • Ahhhh my ears

  • Bout what Rosie normally sounds like.

  • Rosie must have farted :P

  • I WANNA SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow I had no idea Ashley Artus had performed on Broadway and on the Rosie o Donnel program. he is currently touring the UK with Lynne Wilmot, John Owen Jones and Gareth Gates in LesMis. Fab actor as thsi very clip shows.

  • Samuel L Wright was Sebastian in the Little Mermaid film!

  • such talent, that Jason Raize, truely is a shame for such a bright star to go like that

=( No one has ever sung it like he did.

  • RIP JASON BEST SIMBA OF ALL TIME

  • @verticalinsanity Simba? Isn't Jason playing Mufasa or are you talking about the guy playing adult Simba?

  • @shewolf51 ya didnt he play adult simba ??? i swear it says that in my playbill??

  • I know this they're confined to a the confines of the stage at Rosie's show, but I thought that would be a way more active scene than it was.

  • Love this! Everyone did such an awesome job:-)

  • RIP Jason! There will never be another one like you

  • is it me or is there something wrong with the sound, all i can hear is fuzzing all the time, very bad actually, bad sound quality, cant hear a fucking word of it.
