  • Best lyrics I've heard in a long time. It's so sad I've just met his music, thanks to Banksy!

  • There is something about this man that makes me go all weak at the knees when he performs. Whether it's singing or just playing his music. Helen is one very lucky lady!

  • Richard is one of the most greatest performers I've ever seen live & I spent a good 40 to 50 mins with him after his gig in Birmingham glee club talking about various things & I can tell you that he is so down to earth & what a pro at what he does.he also knows how to make you feel welcome in his company.what a great night Richard & thankyou for spending time with Sally who is now 89 years old she still loves you.we hope to see you soon ?

  • Richard Hawley live is a treat! If you have the chance, don't miss it!

  • Richard is the greatest singer/songwriter ever, and that inc. the States.

  • Hawley Reigns!!!!!!!!!

  • I've had this song on my phone for so long now - and now seen this live version - sounds perfect! How come I missed this Later... ? Thanks for sharing!!

  • Richard Hawley en un músico excelente.

  • @bohemio79 así es...

  • Perfect.

  • ¡estupenda canción, como casi todas de este reciente descubrimiento por parte mía¡

  • Excellent !!

  • This is one of my favourite R Hawley songs, I think he's great! I'm hoping to support him someday

  • same here, only discovered richard via sex and the city title song, don't watch the programme though!

    i'm totally converted!

  • Hawley live is a treat.

If you get the chance dont miss it.

  • How did he hurt his lip? I had a bad dog bite like this and I always wondered if I would sound the same (I do). Anyone know how he got it?

  • I think he has a cleft palette or a hair-lip. It's a birth defect.

  • @HorrorPunkGirl Oh, thanks for explaining. Too bad. This recording really is astounding. It is like they pushed play on the CD, he's just that good!

  • love him- fantastic voice

  • Just found him recently - his music is astoundingly beautiful......

  • how can it be I haven't dicovered this earlier? going straight into my all-time favorites

  • Mine too! Cannot believe he is not more well known, though in America good stuff is always overlooked, while shit rules the airwaves. Buy Cole's Corner and Lady's Bridge and you won't be disappointed! I love the song Bad Woman he sings with AM.

  • I´m even later;-)

  • This is SO moving.Someone introduced me to his music and I can't believe he isnt more obviously successful. This is beautiful in every way.

  • the man's a genius

  • love him. a total one off.

  • as i have said b4 the king................

  • brilliant guy is totally underated

  • the singer increible!!!!!

  • Great music, lyrics, and a beautiful voice. Excellent.

  • This blokes in a league of his own. Fuck, he may not be very commercial but his musics the best out there at present. I also saw him up in newcastle, and i was blown away by his sound, exactly like the records. Should have been around in the fifties and he couldve been a legend.

  • Couldn't agree more.He's a legend.

  • was at concert in abc glasgow was superb.the music was excellent even richard seemed to enjoy himself with some good humour between songs.has anyone ever heard him on the radio single after single seems to get ignored by all the stations.

  • I was there too :) & Radio 2 play him quite a lot. I've heard 'Tonight The Streets Are Ours', 'Serious', 'Valentine', 'Coles Corner' & 'Born Under A Bad Sign' on there.

  • Saw these guys at the Corn Exchange on their tour - really excellent. Richard writes good songs and also the band that backs him is really tight, really good. And whoever does their sound, wow - was so well set up, and from the looks of it that place must have been a bitch to EQ right. They were top notch, buy the album, I'd totally reccomend as a live act too..

  • Great song, great video from Sheffield, England.

  • Heard this on the radio the other night and something just drew me to the song coz although I had never heard of Richard Hawley I actually remembered the song and his name when I got up. He is brilliant

  • Stunning song. Brings back memories of Orbison.

  • type of song you feel that you've always known and yet its new ... that must be a sign an absolutely brilliant song .....luv it !!!!

  • Now THAT is a proper outro, son.

  • Idle 80 is spot on. In an era of shallow lazy music, we have a rare talent who writes and plays from the heart. Saw him at the sage, cant wait for feb '08

  • couldnt agree more, I saw this performance and that got me into him, now am going to see him in York next Month and cant wait. His music stirs up all kinds of emotions.

  • Richard Hawley is perfection

  • Ah, I love him. (& topher1889, you must be right - I'm fifteen) I love this quote from him: 'I turned on the radio and it just did my head in. All the songs on it were, like, that deep... Like an After Eight mint.'

  • wow captainautumn well put!!!!

  • Sounds like that Pulp Fiction song.

  • Beautiful music, beautifully played. An artist that that transcends time and trends. A genuine talent, Hawley reaffirms my almost forgotten love affair with music.
