Hence Schrodinger's ability to be everywhere at once.
There is a radioactive isotope with a half-life of time X in the box along with the cat. There is also a geiger counter and a hammer (as well as to the poison). Since radioactive decay is a purely random process, the isotope MAY or MAY NOT trigger the geiger counter after time X. Shuold the geiger counter trigger, then it will cause the hammer to fall, breaking the poison vial and killing the cat.

This doesn't mean Seras is weak, not at all. She's strong because of Pip and Pip's strong because of Seras.
If you look, they only become "real" fleshed up characters in v6 (before they were cool comic relief), when they fight together. Their battles are the best IMO, based on teamwork. "Crush them together" <3

I like that personalities and character relationships are more consistent and better handled in this series version. Integra and Alucard, and Alucard and Seras had some strange attitude moments towards each other, and as part of their character in the Anime that didn't seem to flow as well. This version makes much more sense, I assume that's because it's closer to the manga which I haven't read. Ugh, now I have to read the manga for the full story (manga is usually better anyway though).
Yes, although the OVAs (the first ones) are a bit mangled as far as characterization and personalities go. IMO, Integra's made OOC for the manga in several instances:
1) Greeting Seras calmly. When in the manga, she freaks out and calls Alucard an idiot. A la tsundere.
2) Little Integra and Master of the Monster. All mangled.
3) in ova 3, she seems to smile over the massacre? OOC as heck, she's looking grim and gloomy manga wise.
Ok I don't care what it mean, I've seen enough of fuckin trailers, where the fuckin show already e.e; and I mean of Hellsing OVA, I've seen all of the other Hellsing, moving on.
I watched the original Hellsing when it was on cable, and I thought they just didn't make Saras powerful enough to have been sired by the greatest vampire in existence. Ultimate looks like they're going to correct that mistake. Can't wait!
MANGA is the original Hellsing. OVA is ANOTHER adaptation PRODUCED by the same guy who produced the TV series, Ueda, he hired different staff. That's all. /facepalm
OVA doesn't mean it's the ORIGINAL. It simply indicates is an anime produced to exclusive sale in VIDEO (DVD, BLU RAY, you know...).
Neither the TV series or this adaptation is the "original" series, that's the manga. Think of Dracula movies made by Universal vs Dracula movies made by Hammer vs Coppola's Dracula, BBC's Dracula, etc.
None of them are the "original". The original is Stoker's novel. Ditto here, it's Hirano's manga.
actually, ova is a type of animation called original video animation. That's why in the Hellsing ova, the graphics are amazing and theres parts with the 3d textures such as whenever Seras and Alucard aim their guns and fire them.
It doesn't matter if it follows it closely. There has been departures.
OVA is Ueda's vision, same with TV series. IT'S THE SAME GUY. You can see borrowed elements of the TV series in episode 1 of the OVA. Particularly when Integra and Seras met Alucard.
Ueda does nothing in the OVA, each time a new person comes in to create each OVA with some of the same cast, and same voice actors. Hellsing OVA follows the manga EXACTLY to a tee with VERY small changes. Some scenes are just thrown in from the manga in earlier OVA's then they actually should be, such as OVA 6
What. Ueda is the PRODUCER who wanted to do the project. He's also the only one who goes to CONS and sits next to HIRANO answering questions.
He was also the producer of the Anime.
The OVA didn't have "small" changes in some respects, BEFORE the new staff and studio took over. Satelight and old staff cut a lot of things, Madhouse is trying to set their fail record straight. Why do you think they were FIRED?
Satelight went BANKRUPT they didn't get FIRED. You seem like a real know-it-all-dick who can't stand to be wrong. With my Hellsing OVA DVD's I got the names of the producers in a packet full of the drawings and story boards and etc, and Ueda's NOT IN IT.
What? Satelight is CONTINUING with their projects, including Macross Frontier. In the Wild Geese OVA site, around the date, they changed studios, made CLEAR they fired them.
Executive producers =/= producers. Take a closer look to the package and notice two names: Yoshiyuki Fudetani and Yasuyuki Ueda. Ueda is usually the OVA spokesman they sent in international cons. Both were involved in the TV series.
I'll have to relook on them, but from what I heard Satelite was cancelled / went bankrupt. Unless I'm getting it confused with Geneon. The only beef I had with Satelite was in OVA II, Alucard shot Luke with the Jackal in the chest.. when in the manga it was the Casull. Mad House is by far better, I admit that willingly, able, and fully. It's even drawn and animated FAR better, and just looks great.
They got fired >> that's what happened. There was even a joke about it in the Japanese website "our staff is BURNING" (to joke the being "fired" Japanese and their wacky word association jokes).
Now I like Satelight, but not for Hellsing, their style is different. Madhouse has always been the right studio. I knew it since... forever /wanted them since the beginning.
They were OKAY for Hellsing.. the Characters looked so stiff though, all had broad shoulders, etc, looked like if they moved it'd hurt. But Mad House's is so fluent and eccentric, it just blows me away.
the dream Maxwell had was supposed to be when he gets impaled by Level 0 and Anderson holds him on his lap. But instead, they had the dream early, which is fine. Otherwise, yes, it -DOES- follow.
What are you talking about? I'm not even bringing up Maxwell. I'm bringing up the Integra flashbacks they either omitted or mangled out of recognition -before- Madhouse, Madhouse did well in OVA 5.
Yes, I agree the OVA is getting better and sticking more towards the story, but it always has. With Satelite, there was little changes. Such as how characters spoke with each other, etc, etc, etc. How ever, should Ueda be within that team of Satelite then he'd be to blame. So why not blame him in Mad House, even though Mad House is doing an EXCELLENT job?
I don't blame Ueda that much, I blame him to include some of his "vision" in it in the beginning. Didn't you notice in the first OVA? He had Integra and Seras borrow some stuff FROM their tv series counterparts (Integra glaring at Richard with a gun pointed at her face, Seras shooting the priest on his face/trying to, even though it's OOC for what they did in the manga). It's OKAY to show moments of vulnerability and weakness, their arc was to Get Over Them. That's why I liked them.
Yes. Yes. The problem I believe is that Integra's arc is ruined... because her characterization was over the place thanks to Satelight. They made her not freak out at Seras, they made her GRIN at the slaughter, etc. They made her too calm and cool in the beginning, then made her different.
Integra had a coming of age as well as Seras, one that was slow progression, the "incomplete creature" as leader is gone. Thanks to their sloppy job. Seras and Pip got really lucky with Madhouse taking over.
Mad House is doing excellent so far, so they should be able to fix at least a little of the mess Satelite left. At least, that's how I see it. They're doing such a good job that I literally forgot about Satelite's version until people mention it. xD

Because... I don't know really. They had the belief as long Alucard slaughters the vampires, we won't notice the fail. ._. They were like HOW MUCH OF THE STORY WE CAN CRAM in one episode. sighh

Yes, I heard that they are going to do at least four OVA more after OVA 7. They are sticking to short-but concise OVAs. I was betting on 5 more, but 4 is OKAY.
I didn't mean the length of OVA, I knew they were doing more. They're covering the story lol. What I meant was the running time for each OVA. Satelite's were around 50 - 56 minutes long, and Mad House's is so far all 42 to 43 minutes long.
Ah, well then they should cover the entire Hellsing manga which is only 10 volumes, and if this is OVA 7.. Then four more would be 8 9 10 11. Hm.. Maybe there's 11 volumes? I only counted ten. Either way it'll get the entire story in. And yes, Hellsing OVA 2 was THE best Satelite did. I loved OVA 3, too, but OVA 2 was the best Satelite had to offer.
I don't mind his vision sometimes, but I HATE when people bark and say stupid things about this being "Hirano's vision." LOL or the "original." The original is the MANGA, period. Hirano's not really behind the OVA.
Satelight had an atrocious storytelling, too, and were unable to be able to mix the OST with their animation. Whereas Madhouse IS doing a great job in animation, TELLING a story with characters (thank god) and using their resources.
I don't see it as Hirano's vision, like when they mix some parts up such as when I mentioned Maxwell's dream. That's more Ueda stuff, it should have happened when Level 0 came, but surprisingly it was pulled off excellently, which it shall be. Mad House seems to be sticking closer to the OVA than Satelite ever did, however.
It's alright if you don't see it. It's not! XD What I was saying is people going this "is the original" and "this is Hirano's vision!" and believe that. I love Madhouse's job! I WANTED Madhouse at helm since I heard there was going to be an OVA. It made me so happy they traded Satelight for them.
I agree... Satelight was too focused on LET'S HAVE ALUCARD SLAUGHTER AND SKIP THE DEVELOPMENT. It was so shallow... whereas Madhouse's trying to tell a story.
I enjoyed it at the time, but Mad House is truly capturing my heart. I still enjoy Satelite's versions, though. But I'm weighing more on Mad House's. In fact, when Mad House first started I was scared they wouldn't capture Hellsing as it should be, but they did twice that over and more. Which is why Satelite is a bit fail now... but I still like it. xD
Satelight disappointed me. I was like.... pimping the OVA to everyone and then saw their episode 1 BIG TIME LETDOWN. Even the animation was an embarrassment. Choppy as hell and looooooooooong. I guess I had set high standards they didn't meet.
Whereas Madhouse grabbed me when I was giving up the OVAs. And WOW.
Their animation wasn't that bad, it was crude, but worth watching. I do agree that Mad House is thousands of times better, though. And I mean that, literally. I mean, look at this preview even.. It's Godly.
One thing I am liking is less delays and a bit shorter wait for the OVA.
The problem was I thought it was worse than Gonzo's first episode, animation wise. Because it was so... unfinished for an OVA vs older tv series that (in that first episode) has aged well. The Casull... cgi was so bad. And the 3d BULLETS...
Madhouse doesn't have delays. They set a date and do it. Satelight say a date and then... push it, push it, PUSH it. Another thing I hated. It was so unprofessional to do that.
Yes the CGI looked a bit weak in Satelite, like they really didn't care, but it still looked good. But hot damn, everything in Mad House looks just unrealistic. Like it's too good to be true, you know? It's one of the best drawn and etc OVA's and animated things I've ever seen in my life.
And yeah, it was unprofessional that they'd do such. It pissed me off beyond belief when they had to delay it so much.
Yes indeed, I am really enjoying it so far. And I know I will in the future, too. When do you think OVA 7 will appear on YouTube? Some one had the full OVA 6 with subs the first day it came out, so I'm hoping that will happen soon.

I like that personalities and character relationships are more consistent and better handled in this series version. Integra and Alucard, and Alucard and Seras had some strange attitude moments towards each other, and as part of their character in the Anime that didn't seem to flow as well. This version makes much more sense, I assume that's because it's closer to the manga which I haven't read. Ugh, now I have to read the manga for the full story (manga is usually better anyway though).

Yes, although the OVAs (the first ones) are a bit mangled as far as characterization and personalities go. IMO, Integra's made OOC for the manga in several instances:
1) Greeting Seras calmly. When in the manga, she freaks out and calls Alucard an idiot. A la tsundere.
2) Little Integra and Master of the Monster. All mangled.
3) in ova 3, she seems to smile over the massacre? OOC as heck, she's looking grim and gloomy manga wise.

I watched the original Hellsing when it was on cable, and I thought they just didn't make Saras powerful enough to have been sired by the greatest vampire in existence. Ultimate looks like they're going to correct that mistake. Can't wait!

OVA doesn't mean it's the ORIGINAL. It simply indicates is an anime produced to exclusive sale in VIDEO (DVD, BLU RAY, you know...).
Neither the TV series or this adaptation is the "original" series, that's the manga. Think of Dracula movies made by Universal vs Dracula movies made by Hammer vs Coppola's Dracula, BBC's Dracula, etc.
None of them are the "original". The original is Stoker's novel. Ditto here, it's Hirano's manga.

actually, ova is a type of animation called original video animation. That's why in the Hellsing ova, the graphics are amazing and theres parts with the 3d textures such as whenever Seras and Alucard aim their guns and fire them.

It doesn't matter if it follows it closely. There has been departures.
OVA is Ueda's vision, same with TV series. IT'S THE SAME GUY. You can see borrowed elements of the TV series in episode 1 of the OVA. Particularly when Integra and Seras met Alucard.
The original is HIRANO'S vision aka the Manga.

Ueda does nothing in the OVA, each time a new person comes in to create each OVA with some of the same cast, and same voice actors. Hellsing OVA follows the manga EXACTLY to a tee with VERY small changes. Some scenes are just thrown in from the manga in earlier OVA's then they actually should be, such as OVA 6

What. Ueda is the PRODUCER who wanted to do the project. He's also the only one who goes to CONS and sits next to HIRANO answering questions.
He was also the producer of the Anime.
The OVA didn't have "small" changes in some respects, BEFORE the new staff and studio took over. Satelight and old staff cut a lot of things, Madhouse is trying to set their fail record straight. Why do you think they were FIRED?

Satelight went BANKRUPT they didn't get FIRED. You seem like a real know-it-all-dick who can't stand to be wrong. With my Hellsing OVA DVD's I got the names of the producers in a packet full of the drawings and story boards and etc, and Ueda's NOT IN IT.

What? Satelight is CONTINUING with their projects, including Macross Frontier. In the Wild Geese OVA site, around the date, they changed studios, made CLEAR they fired them.
Executive producers =/= producers. Take a closer look to the package and notice two names: Yoshiyuki Fudetani and Yasuyuki Ueda. Ueda is usually the OVA spokesman they sent in international cons. Both were involved in the TV series.

I'll have to relook on them, but from what I heard Satelite was cancelled / went bankrupt. Unless I'm getting it confused with Geneon. The only beef I had with Satelite was in OVA II, Alucard shot Luke with the Jackal in the chest.. when in the manga it was the Casull. Mad House is by far better, I admit that willingly, able, and fully. It's even drawn and animated FAR better, and just looks great.

They got fired >> that's what happened. There was even a joke about it in the Japanese website "our staff is BURNING" (to joke the being "fired" Japanese and their wacky word association jokes).
Now I like Satelight, but not for Hellsing, their style is different. Madhouse has always been the right studio. I knew it since... forever /wanted them since the beginning.

They were OKAY for Hellsing.. the Characters looked so stiff though, all had broad shoulders, etc, looked like if they moved it'd hurt. But Mad House's is so fluent and eccentric, it just blows me away.

Yes, I agree the OVA is getting better and sticking more towards the story, but it always has. With Satelite, there was little changes. Such as how characters spoke with each other, etc, etc, etc. How ever, should Ueda be within that team of Satelite then he'd be to blame. So why not blame him in Mad House, even though Mad House is doing an EXCELLENT job?

I don't blame Ueda that much, I blame him to include some of his "vision" in it in the beginning. Didn't you notice in the first OVA? He had Integra and Seras borrow some stuff FROM their tv series counterparts (Integra glaring at Richard with a gun pointed at her face, Seras shooting the priest on his face/trying to, even though it's OOC for what they did in the manga). It's OKAY to show moments of vulnerability and weakness, their arc was to Get Over Them. That's why I liked them.

Yes. Yes. The problem I believe is that Integra's arc is ruined... because her characterization was over the place thanks to Satelight. They made her not freak out at Seras, they made her GRIN at the slaughter, etc. They made her too calm and cool in the beginning, then made her different.
Integra had a coming of age as well as Seras, one that was slow progression, the "incomplete creature" as leader is gone. Thanks to their sloppy job. Seras and Pip got really lucky with Madhouse taking over.

So are the OVA's all gonna be shorter now, or what? Because one thing I did like was that it was at least 20 minutes longer than Mad Houses's.

Yes, I heard that they are going to do at least four OVA more after OVA 7. They are sticking to short-but concise OVAs. I was betting on 5 more, but 4 is OKAY.

I didn't mean the length of OVA, I knew they were doing more. They're covering the story lol. What I meant was the running time for each OVA. Satelite's were around 50 - 56 minutes long, and Mad House's is so far all 42 to 43 minutes long.

Ah, well then they should cover the entire Hellsing manga which is only 10 volumes, and if this is OVA 7.. Then four more would be 8 9 10 11. Hm.. Maybe there's 11 volumes? I only counted ten. Either way it'll get the entire story in. And yes, Hellsing OVA 2 was THE best Satelite did. I loved OVA 3, too, but OVA 2 was the best Satelite had to offer.

I don't mind his vision sometimes, but I HATE when people bark and say stupid things about this being "Hirano's vision." LOL or the "original." The original is the MANGA, period. Hirano's not really behind the OVA.
Satelight had an atrocious storytelling, too, and were unable to be able to mix the OST with their animation. Whereas Madhouse IS doing a great job in animation, TELLING a story with characters (thank god) and using their resources.

I don't see it as Hirano's vision, like when they mix some parts up such as when I mentioned Maxwell's dream. That's more Ueda stuff, it should have happened when Level 0 came, but surprisingly it was pulled off excellently, which it shall be. Mad House seems to be sticking closer to the OVA than Satelite ever did, however.

I agree... Satelight was too focused on LET'S HAVE ALUCARD SLAUGHTER AND SKIP THE DEVELOPMENT. It was so shallow... whereas Madhouse's trying to tell a story.

I enjoyed it at the time, but Mad House is truly capturing my heart. I still enjoy Satelite's versions, though. But I'm weighing more on Mad House's. In fact, when Mad House first started I was scared they wouldn't capture Hellsing as it should be, but they did twice that over and more. Which is why Satelite is a bit fail now... but I still like it. xD

Satelight disappointed me. I was like.... pimping the OVA to everyone and then saw their episode 1 BIG TIME LETDOWN. Even the animation was an embarrassment. Choppy as hell and looooooooooong. I guess I had set high standards they didn't meet.
Whereas Madhouse grabbed me when I was giving up the OVAs. And WOW.

Their animation wasn't that bad, it was crude, but worth watching. I do agree that Mad House is thousands of times better, though. And I mean that, literally. I mean, look at this preview even.. It's Godly.
One thing I am liking is less delays and a bit shorter wait for the OVA.

The problem was I thought it was worse than Gonzo's first episode, animation wise. Because it was so... unfinished for an OVA vs older tv series that (in that first episode) has aged well. The Casull... cgi was so bad. And the 3d BULLETS...
Madhouse doesn't have delays. They set a date and do it. Satelight say a date and then... push it, push it, PUSH it. Another thing I hated. It was so unprofessional to do that.

Yes the CGI looked a bit weak in Satelite, like they really didn't care, but it still looked good. But hot damn, everything in Mad House looks just unrealistic. Like it's too good to be true, you know? It's one of the best drawn and etc OVA's and animated things I've ever seen in my life.
And yeah, it was unprofessional that they'd do such. It pissed me off beyond belief when they had to delay it so much.
