  • I think this was the game that had everything!

  • we should of won about 5-0

  • WATP. NO SURRENDER

  • Andy Goram seemed morally offended at the thought of conceding a goal to Celtic :))

  • Ah they were painful days celtic use to dominate every game but always end up losing

  • the fox couldve scored that

  • i'm a die hard celtic fan bt rangers wer a phenomenal side bak then...both of us are pure shit nw compared tae thos days.

  • @jambhoy87 In those days both teams would have finished very near the top of the English Premier League, possibly winning it, who knows? The current teams would both be relegation candidates if they were playing in England.

  • Amazing! I know we lost but that is what you call an Old Firm game, not the boring tactical atmosphere-less snoozefests you get nowadays. Two teams just going all out attack, what has happened to modern football?

  • get well soon brian from everyone in scotland. TRUE LEGEND BRIAN LAUDRUP

  • Laudrup was my favorite player.

  • If Rangers had had Coisty or someone like that in this game then we would have ran out a cricket score. Everytime Celtic lost the ball they opened up something awful. It was possibly the most exciting game though during this period for drama. Not sure if the current teams could live up to it.

  • this was the best Old Firm gave ever in my opinion, had quality, contreversy and excitement.

Most of BOTH old firm players couldnt lace these guys boots.

  • lol, van vossen reminds me of the reporter from die hard !

  • Champions 53. Watched this to see Gorums pen save. Cant believe so many one on ones were missed.

  • we should have won about 7-0 that night , missed crazy chances , i almost took a heart attack watchin it back then ! old firm games arent like that now which is a shame for scottish football.

  • I'll never forget that game, it had everything, who'd have thought that, even now, bad misses would still be referred to as a van vossen lol WATP

  • Watched this at home as a 9 yr old. I think this might have been my first year with a season ticket for Rangers. It was unforgetable this though. I remember the commentary ' and rangers look for a goal and get one' very well. Also remember hiding outside my living room as the pierre's penalty was being taken, ii had my hands over my face outside the french doors, but i peeked through my fingers. Simply amazing, simply the best.

  • oh what old firm games we had back then, two briliant teams giving it everything, not the imposters we have now, if big pierre had scored that penalty, history could have been alot better, thanks for posting

  • @cadaharla IF? Hahahahahaha

  • @sc1872 ha ha yea that was a big if, 13 years and im still clutching at straws!!!!!

  • is it a fox? naw stupit it's a rabbit

  • the tims

  • Brian Laudrup: Quite simply the best footballer to play in the SPL in the last 20 years. In terms of pure class and footballing genius its beyond doubt.

A joint second would be Gascoigne (as a playmaker) and Larsson (as a goal machine).

  • Bet the tims enjoyed their Fox burgers the following week,1nil get it up yeees.

  • As a Tim I only watched this for Van Vossens miss, but need to say great video. Very well edited. Its such a shame that Old Firm games dont even come close to matching even 10% of the ecitement of this game. Was only 8 at the time so dont remember too much but looks as if it was a great game and perhaps arguably a point would have been a fair result. Tom Boyd with some world class challenges in the second half. Never knew he had that in him!

  • Humility from a celtic fan? :O Nah, nice 1 mate i feel the same. Both clubs had such excellent players. Also u didn't have 2 bother about the media shite...

  • @MartinJB12 probably because Laudrup, Gazza, Van Hoodjionk, Albertz etc are a class above the players currently in Scottish football

  • @MartinJB12

yea we used to lose so well back then. great memories of exciting games tho.

  • Remember listening to this on the radio as a nipper and it sounded amazing.

Saw it on video the next day. We were under the cosh so much. Goram was immense. The penalty save is very good too.

Don't make them like that anymore.

  • exactly the same experience as me. 810 mw loyal with school in the morning!

  • Could the most nerve wracking OF games i've ever seen. The stakes were so high. The closest we've been to a match like it recently was the one back in May.

  • I was there in May& the atmosphere was amazing it was sooo tense, if wed lost wed be years behind them in revenue but we didnt :) Still havnt spent any money tho

  • My most outstanding experience watching Rangers when not in the ground. Saw this in the Glasgow Uni Union. 200 students - 80% tims. Whats a rollercoaster and what fun celebrating that penalty save by the flying pig!

  • how poor is the finishing !

  • probably the most eventful old firm game of all time

  • u carry on martin am absalootly speechlees lol

  • just 3 things...

    1.- Laudrup is amazing.

2.- The game could end 11 to 10

3.- minute 8:43 is simply unbelievable
