Nice man. Like the scape. which power head are you using? I have a oceanic cir. pump in mine but it's loud-as. It's hard to find a power head that isn't an eyesoar in a smaller tank. Did you upgrade the filter? I'm thinking of a canister. Any lighting upgrades?
@Beqwith Sorry I just saw your question. I've been able to hold it "steady" at 2 clownfish, a few crabs, and the one firefish. I believe you could put in another blenny for the ground level but I wouldn't push it more than that.
I'm looking at doing this same set up, would really like to see it with some corals to make it pop, have you decided on what other filter you may use?
@huskerzGBR Hey, sorry I didn't see your comment until now. I was leaning toward getting a small protein skimmer until our house lost power in a giant snowstorm that hit the area. House was down for 5 days, and since I had to be out of town for work, the who tank went down -- everything frozen to death. Sad, so I'm just restarting again.
I am setting up the same after the holidays. I was wondering about the intensity of the light. Is that the stock normal output T5 light from the DLX kit hood?
@99supertech Ya, I'm just using the stock normal output. I've assumed it would be okay since I'm not doing any kind of true reef tank. I do have the live rock in there and it seems to be doing okay at the 6 week mark. I do give a dose of "Purple Up" every few day.
@250nicca ya, I've been using the carbon filter that came with it, but now that I'm on the 6th week or so, I've been wondering if I should get a bigger one. I would still like more water movement at the top. I do have a powerhead submerged about 2/3 down in the back of the tank and that works well for circulation.

I have the same aquarium. I'm just normalizing the water before I add fish. How many fish is it safe to introduce to a tank this size? Thanks.
