You would not believe this, but the pumping unit is broken! If you look closely, the wireline for the horsehead is broken off the unit and laying on the stuffing box and the ground. The polish is not going up or down and is why the pumping unit is way out of counter balance. Hopefully the electric motor doesn't burn up before the pumper gets out there.
Wow, I didn't even notice that and probably wouldn't have if you wouldn't have something! Totally not cool that it could ruin the motor but then again cool that I caught it like this.
Are counter balanced units more efficient than units with counterweights?
