my yoga teacher told me the secret to a perfect back bend in tribal fusion ( like how rachel brice does ) , is practising the bridge pose in yoga, does anyone know if this is true ?

@starRavenCraft i have no idea but i don't think so. lol. because you have to work on the flexibility of your hip flexors and lower back...i do not believe the bridge pose does that.

hmm as a bellydancer and a yoga teacher im going to say yes and no. IF you want to do a correct backbend in Yoga this yes bridge pose would be a little helpful but for TFB its all in the chest and stomach. you push the chest forward then lift up with the chest until you can't go any further and then start to lean back. All while pulling your shoulder blades together. You only go as far as your upper chest is strong and how far your stomach muscles can stretch. :)

I think the videographer dropped the ball on this-likely a man-it could of been better I think with one who videos and UNDERSTANDS the DANCE!!!! Rachel is good no matter what=but whomever videoed it chopped it and poorly edited it-it could of been a much more powerful performance if that was as on as Rachel-I know dance and know it well...better videographer next time.
