Because he goes backstage to get a new shirt. He did the same thing at his concert in Croatia, ran off the stage right after the last lyrics and then came back with new shirt...which he eventually took off again :)

Most people keep their brains between their legs... he is singing about his reality, and his heart... I love Moz. thank you Moz for taking your shirt off. i am not going to hide either. and its funny but I am not "normal" I suppose, but I find him more attractive these days... than ever.

thanks for writing out exactly what I was thinking too... I love this song, and Moz; I guess another thing he could be referring to is aging, and the fact that he's not getting any younger. He's always been so attractive, though evidently he does not seem to believe so. and looking the mirror, it must be scary to see yourself change, physically. but his heart is open, he's still Morrissey. that's my understanding of the song

Couldn't agree more! Someone on a fans' website forum wrote: "Why does he keep on taking his shirt off? It's not 1992!" You can imagine the flow of outraged replies... I think it's wonderful that he takes his shirt off, it makes him really vulnerable on stage. And as a fan, I feel really honoured to see this kind of vulnerability. (And I think he looks yummy, too.) ;-)

you guys all wrote just what i was thinking :D i love the way he sings that line and then stands there like 'slay me'... always both sides of the coin, shamelessly indestructible AND vulnerable. when a gemini blooms like this you can never take your eyes away or close your ears for a second for what you might miss! hes more beautiful with every passing year... and now i have to go be in my bunk for a while :P
