  • A part of me wants a real atheist choir, it would be fairly awesome, I could start one but I can't sing for shit. Sure atheism is no more a religion than theism (sure most religions are theistic, but there's even atheistic religion like atheistic Buddhism), but hey, if we couldn't laugh at ourselves then what kind of world would we live in? :P

  • I'm sorry - you still haven't sold me.

I'm by no means religious and simply can not uphold blind faith that a superior being does not exist.

  • 1:43 made my day.

  • @NerdyIncorporated I agree. I think I hurt myself laughing.

  • Okay this is incredibly strange. I'm on the "Atheist Choir" video with all the correct comments, description, like/dislike, uploader etc. However, the video is something I watched earlier despite several refreshes?

    God's obviously punishing me. lol

  • HAIL ATHEISTS!

  • I have long believed that we atheists ought to have some sort of cult. Like for example thanking ourselves for the food in front of us!

  • Clapping my hands over here.

  • 1.13 there's a guy wearing jeans under

  • Incorrect, I'm not going to just rot in a wooden box when I die.

My will specifically says to catapult me into a minefield so I can't come back as a zombie.

  • Who thinks they would get away with this on TV these super sensitive, PC infected days.

  • @p165711 TV isn't sensitive, at least not here in the uk...Jonathon Ross said Niggers on tv twice in front of Chris Rock and nobody gave a shit.

  • Oh, how I wish they'd bring back Spitting Image, can you imagine the amount of puppets they'd have to make?

  • I don't get the "and join the Church of England"

  • @Dodec84 My best guess is that that means the Church of England is so moribund that being a member is pretty much the same thing as being an atheist.

  • I would support the establishment of an atheist Church- despite how it goes against our principles- just so this song could be sung daily!

  • it's not that all atheists don't believe in a life after death, only that some believe that what we are told happens after death is not correct. Personally I have mixed ideas of what happens after death, but I find the prospect of a "perfect world" such as heaven is more of a torture than a great place. Well anyway, I don't really believe in any higher plain of existence, but I do have my own ideas of what death really is and where it leads to...but it would take too long to explain.

  • THE ODDS of the sequence of molecules in a cell coming together by chance are similar to the odds of magnetic letters randomly bonding together in a sequence to form all the words and sentences in a dictionary. Without the right sequence, a cell's molecules won't work. Amino acids can come by chance but not proteins. Without DNA there can be no proteins and vice versa. Gradually won't do. It's all at once or not at all for a cell's survival. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM

  • @Mogley52 I think it unlikely that ANY atheists went to read that article, just because you made a glaring error in the title alone. (aside from screaming in all caps like a true christian☺) You have equated not believing in a deity with abiogenisis.

  • Atheism is not the rejection of the possibility of a Deity it is the rejection of all the modern (or not so modern) theorys of god for one very good reason. They're all a load of shite.

  • It is depressing be an atheist and to assume that this life is all you have

  • @wafaguevara is not. it makes us appreciate life more.

  • @wafaguevara Unfortunately theories are not based on how depressing their results are...

  • @wafaguevara depressing yes true but atleast your not a lying asshole

  • A WOODEN BOX!

  • As a Catholic, I find this hilarious...

  • @julesthemadman Ditto.... x

  • the jordan river does exist. my poppa's been there

  • @sunonthewindow

    metaphor....slaps head....:(

  • I don't believe in God! *CLAP*

I don't trust the Lord! *CLAP*

I reject the possibility of a deity! *CLAP*

Oh, wait, I hate singing. Sorry, this isn't for me.

  • Wait, isn't the Jordan River an actual river?

  • Best choir song ever. Haven't heard in about 15 years. Thanks for posting.

  • "And join the Church of England"

Spot on. That organisation is just like the Tory party . But with more pointy hats and surpressed homosexuality.

  • Steve Martin doesn't know either Rock and Roll or Heavy Metal then.

  • Steve Martin jokingly sings that "atheists don't have no songs." Well, he hasn't heard this one evidently.

And who wants to be ruled by hippos!

  • @maxime32 Bahaha!!!!!

  • 'and join the Church of England' - lmfao

  • This is fabulous! Thank you so much. so funny!

  • Remember when you would go to your youtube page and shake your ass on camera?

Remember when you would upload it and people would hate you or masterbate?

Remember when you liked cottage cheese?

Remember when you would smear it all over your naked body?

Remember two girls and a cup? That shit was funny.

    WE MISS THE OLD YOUTUBE!

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube masterbationfest!!!

  • @themysteriouscrumpet

Could be jars of Smarties! Brits had these back then before M& Ms

  • @themysteriouscrumpet sugar coating stuff.

  • Whatever happend to Spitting Image? I looooved it. Why isTV not funny any-more?

And what happened, by the way, to that god-damned cursor here? I can't see where I'm typing.

  • well halleloonia

  • Damn that is funny! I will be honest, if I was as grotesquely ugly as all the atheists in your choir, I wouldn't believe in God either!!!!! Thank you God I am not!!! ha, ha, ha!!!!!

  • This is awesome, I miss Spitting Image so much. TV is so shit now.

  • I don't believe in a god, but I'm open to the possibility that those creepy puppet people are straight from the bowels of hell. *shudder*

  • As an atheist i have to say this is...fucking hilarious! If this were a joke on the religous, the poster would have been threatened with death. several times.

  • @martintod2006 spitting image was great, firing on all cylinders at all fronts! :)

  • When you are lying on your death bed waiting for annihilation your last thoughts will be hope of the existence of a God. All religions are flawed. But be assured there is a God. Your life is not nearly as harsh as others in this world.

  • @brucebu base critical life decisions on the fear of the unknown. Well I guess that's made many billions of the poor's dollars. Really, according to the bible, if you decide to believe in God on your death bed it's already too late anyways. In my experience those who wish to control us by fear are not on our side.

  • @TheHouseBlog

I do not believe in the the Bible. Nor do I believe in the Koran, or any other written form of religion. I refer to the feelings you conjure when you are at the beach and let the sand flow between your fingers and wonder how many grains there are on this beach, on all the beaches. and not even the grains of sand but the atoms that comprise it. The bible is a joke written by men consumed with pride and arrogance. Jesus, the man, did live but he only taught compassion and love.

  • @brucebu "jesus" was one of many charleton's of his time......get the book Man Made God by Barbara G. Walker or books about jesus from DM Murdock.

New Testement author's knew what the old test. said, and the jesus story........well that is all it is, a story

  • See, the problem with this new wave of "evangelical atheists" is that they're so grounded in their precious reality that their point defeats itself. If death is really the end, then I see more utility in believing in something. So what if it's not real. We play video games, right?

    "But religion causes war."

    "So?"

    "War ends lives."

"So? Death is a void, they don't feel anything."

Essentially, you'll get them down to: "But I am RIGHT! Why do they get to believe?! I don't!"

  • @AquaAnalogue An argument over truth has nothing to do with utility. Just because people find believing helps them does not mean it is accurate. War causes suffering in the living. You will also note that most people do not want to die. Atheists argue against religion caused war because it is an unnecessary extension of human suffering and an unnecessary deprivation of people of their right to live.

Theists can be accused of exactly the same thing of asserting, ""But I am RIGHT!"

  • @Mouldywart wing

  • @dragonwar524 oh why wasnt it underneath it :*(

  • I miss Spitting Image *so* much!

  • SUPERB PARODY!!!

  • @Loiginer athiests don't have morals?

so because i'm not living in fear of pissing off some invisible child-killing couche bag I have no morals?

    you are a fool.

everybody already has morals and feelings for their fellow man hardwired into their brain.

its the priests (of all religions) who teach us to throw some of those morals.

particularly teaching us to hate everybody who doesn't worship their god.

  • @Zekkandgrant13

Wait, so all religions specifically say that you should hate everybody who doesn't worship their god?

  • @1aundulxaldin only the ones that are powerful (the big three, Christianity, Islam, Judaism) because they slaughtered all the ones who didn't believe that.

  • @Zekkandgrant13

I can understand the powerful part at that, but I'm asking if specifically all three, in their designated books, command its followers to slaughter people who don't believe them.

  • @1aundulxaldin

in some way yes, Christianity in particular it says so clearly

  • @Zekkandgrant13

"in some way," what kind of way, exactly? Does it say it in a verse?

  • @1aundulxaldin yes, just not straight out like "go kil sum bitchez" its a little hidden, but still easy to spot.

  • Puppets have rights and religious freedoms!

  • I am an athiest There is not enought Scientific evidence to prove that there is a god. Seeing is beliving.

  • and join the church of England LOL

  • cool song... creepy puppets!

  • I'm sure I saw Richard Dawkins in there somewhere!

  • This doesn't have to be interpreted as being pro-atheism. It as saying that while atheists claim to be independent and free of religion, they proselytize and act in many ways not so different then the most fundamental of Christians. Besides, the whole thing was just a set up for the Church of England joke.

  • @Dereich75

Yeah Dereich, I'm guessing half of these posters don't even know or have ever seen "Spitting Image" when it was airing on the Beeb.

When I was in Canada, I used to watch it ... Religiously, hehehe.

  • @Dereich75 Proselytizing Atheism like Fundamental Christians is a recent activity. It is the only way to combat Fundamentalist Christians.

  • @PantsDestroyer. Are there Unicorns where you live?

  • @MutantTyrant

    Is Mickey your neighbor?

  • @MutantTyrant

meh, yeah, the same way you showed me Unicorns...

  • I am a Christian and I find this video absolutely hilarious cause it shows just how wacked out some of the Militant Social Lefties are. The Joke Is on you.

  • @PantsDestroyer erm not really. seeing as everyone finds it funny

  • @PantsDestroyer Getting the obvious joke fail.

  • @JonnyBoyMach2

Oh I get the joke, and if you look closer the joke is on you.

  • @PantsDestroyer Wow. Boy did you show me . . . except . . . erm. What does that even mean?

  • @JonnyBoyMach2

erm, well hey? Backatcha Sport. Unicorns? Do you have them where you live? Sounds like it.

  • @PantsDestroyer Sure is huh idiot?

  • I want this played on the radio in the Deep South US. :) But then, I also want to strike gold in the back yard. The latter is more likely.

  • No wooden box for me. Waste of good material. Whatever parts of me that can be used is going to those still alive that need it, with the stipulation that young children get first dibs. I'd prefer the rest be tossed in a ditch so some wild animals and bugs could have a 5-star meal for once in their lives, but barring any extreme changes of legality, I'm settling with donating the rest to science.

  • no annoying religious nuts have posted insults yet?

    its a miracle!!

  • @trafficlights1 Wait till it gets 5000 + views . . . . then you know it's going to kick off.

  • @trafficlights1 HALELUJA! ALL PRAISE FSM!!

  • @trafficlights1

Yeah- But don't forget, Spitting Image were the masters of the 'Double Mock'- Start out mocking the whole American Bible Belt movement - and wind up taking the pithe out of the Secular Humanists as well.

    Subtle but Very Clever.

  • @trafficlights1 No it's not lol.

  • @trafficlights1 That is truely a miracle there. Praise be to God!

  • Have you ever notice at 0:35 that no puppet heads were used for extra-long shots, only puppeteers and impressionists' heads?

  • A great song (although I agree it's a bit depressing).

Thanks for uploading this. Keep up the good work.

  • Sort of. At least we get this one precious and beautiful life, free of cosmic Big Brothers, and that's enough to make my cup runneth over many times.

  • @staffiedog44 don's see anything depressing about it. This is the sort of thing we need nowadays. With books like Dawkins, Dennett and Hitchens, people are thinking that us Atheists are starting to become an oxymoronic religion. We do see the funny side of the oxymoron, and this song sums it up perffectly.
