Pen & Pixel art was HORRID but it was the style of the decade -- so they get their props for that. But the "artwork" was godawful... point blank. I don't see nor would I hear it if anyone tried to argue about this being anything close to "good design"

Unfortunately, I wish these ppl who capitalized and got rich off these artists were people from the same backgrounds...this was just a smart guy who learned how to USE the artists to portray them stereotypically and make BANK off of them...

This company has made Millions of dollars designing the worst album covers in my opinion. When you look back, you realize today some of those album covers are classic pieces. All no limit and cash money early albums were done there. They made this guy rich.

If you look at a lot of newer rap covers today, a lot of them still have similar elements from the old Pen & Pixel covers, but they've just evolved and refined a lot since the days of Photoshop 5. But in the 90s through the early part of this decade, this is what a lot of rap covers looked like.

I could see being shocked and appalled if artists on major labels were hiring them to get cd covers in the same style now, but they're not. So I don't get why everybody has their panties in a bunch??

I'm not sure I could do what Theroux does, as a documantarian he has to be completely objective and non-judgemental, but some of the things he looks at are so sick I'd really feel the urge to vocally condemn them in front of the camera.
