Does the music always stop where it does, or is there a longer version? I'd love to have it as an .mp3 in the best possible quality. It's such a nostalgia trip for me.
There is no longer version. When the track gets to a certain point it loops the same part for infinity. In this video the loop begins at 1:19 and ends at 1:29.
@ACRetro Ah, fair enough. Would you be willing to record a longer version so it loops a few times? I get so many memories from hearing this music than anything from an actual PS1 game!
This was the first Official UK PlayStation Magazine demo disc to use this menu layout, and is also the first to use this music, and the first to use the Demo 1 transitions, the demo disc disclaimer, the weird "optical illusion" thing before the menu loads up, and also the first time the magazine was called "(The) Official UK PlayStation Magazine" (it was called "The Official PlayStation Magazine" from issue 1).
No, but TobiXY posted it a few months ago. It has a WAY different menu layout than the other demo discs. And the menu music is CD Audio, rather than a PlayStation Wave Bank file. Also, after the piracy warning screen, it goes straight to the menu.
Lol, I'm missing ALOT of them (the earliest my collection goes back to is demo disc 14 (Christmas 1996) and the latest is 67 (January 2001)). By the way, have you seen demo discs 3 (February 1996) and 4 (March 1996)? They have probably the weirdest backgrounds of all the demo discs, but if I were to choose a winner, I'd go with demo disc 4 (Seriously, the background in that one looks like a massive trip fest).
Don't worry, TobiXY posted nearly all the demo discs that are missing from your collection (including demo discs 3 and 4). He is missing a few, including demo disc 11.
If you want to find it, just type Official UK PlayStation Magazine - Demo Disc 1 Vol. 1. It should be the fifth video that pops up, but if not, it's the one with the thumbnail with the game names: Wipeout, Destruction Derby, Krazy Ivan, Novastorm, 3D Lemmings, Discworld, Assault Rigs and Sound to Light (which is not a game, it's actually V-CD (the same one featured in the first Demo 1 discs (SCES-00048 and SCES-00120))).
i remember getting these

I don't have those either. I'm missing discs 1-11, except for disc 2 (obviously!). If I get hold of them on eBay, I'll definitely upload the videos.
