  • Luke 1:35

  • They did not teach against the virgin birth.

  • Thank you for being so bold, courageous, and sharing in love the Truth of God and His word! God Bless you!! God's Word will stand FOREVER!!!

  • "Now remember from this time forth, and forever, that Jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost."

Journal of Discourses 1:51, Brigham Young, April 9, 1852

    Alma 7:10

"And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God."

How can you trust in these men when they contradict themselves?

  • "It was not voted among the brethren as scripture or doctrine.". I feel this a pretty straight forward statement, yet your very first sentence erroneously refers to the topic it hand as scripture and whether it is good or not. Very subtle, yet nonetheless an attempt to build a scarecrow argument. If you have a problem with the voting of scripture, perhaps you should review the Council of Nicene and also the compilation of the King James Bible because it was exactly by these means we have rece

  • Missing books not found in the Bible, but mentioned the Visions of Iddo the Seer the Book of the Acts of Solomon the Book of Nathan the Prophet the Prophecy of Ahijah the Book of Gad the Book of Samuel the Seer the Book of Jasher the Manner of the Kingdom the Book of the Wars Joseph said their was missing books and thus doctrine, and this is proven true right in the Bible itself, where we see books mentioned that have NEVER been found. Joseph was Prophetic.

  • @viruserik Bible selectively quotes from books outside of itself. Ergo, Joseph Smith was a true prophet. Sorry, not following the logic.

  • Let me save you some time and say this is not sanctioned as official doctrine of the LDS church. It has not been voted among the brethren as scripture or doctrine. There were speculations and thoughts expressed in talks and writing by some church leaders that are easy to go back to, say 1923, due to the excellent records kept by the church. One would wonder what the result would be were we to objective compare statements of other sects against their own brethren. I would submit this does no

  • @Xarnius So God tells us to vote on what scripture is good and what is not? We are to use our own GOOD views on this then? Where can we read anywhere that this is what and how we are to do this? On the contrary, if a (so called prophet) says something contrary to what the Bible teaches us what do we do? The Berean’s were very good at this and they we are told the correct method to see if what a speaker for God is saying the correct things, use Scripture. Read Acts 17.

  • @Xarnius "It was not voted among the brethren as scripture or doctrine." Neither has the Mormon prohibition on alcohol (contra D&C 89:17), but Mormons still consider that doctrine. The "official doctrine" card is a Mormon mechanism of plausible deniability, shielding its prophets and apostles from responsibility over having taught things massively influential to members. See mrm[dot]org/official-doctrine

  • Or that Mary's husband or lover was the biological father. Debates over whether a god put a penis inside a woman or simply got his sperm there another way sounds almost comical in that light.

  • Imagine this thought. According to mormon thought, god came down and had sex with Mary. Now is not the believe of mormons that we are all spirit children of "god our heavenly father?" do you know where I am going with this thought? So logically you cannot have a god the father coming down to have sex with Mary, but God the father creating a miracle that I cannot even think how it happened and gave his ONLY SON, not one of many.

  • the only people who are confused are the mormons

  • and so the Mormon dance around the facts continues...

Is there any group that are more willfully deceived professors in Christ than the Mormons?

    They are without excuse.

  • great info brother.
