Most of the comments have nothing to do with the video. Does anyone have an opinion on the substance of the video or can you only attack the messenger?
There is a thin line between stubbornness and stupidity. Mr. Inhofe and his fellow "birthers" have crossed that line. Also, Mr. Inhofe is a member of a secret, religious cult in Washington, D.C. called the C Street Foundation. This is a very sick organization. Read about this cult in Jeff Shylot's book, "The Family".
So, you agreed with giving Hank Paulson a blank check for $700,000,000,000.00 Or, did you even watch the video? Why don't you go watch some fat people falling down videos.
I usually just attack the messenger. Hank Paulson? I'd say I hate him just as much as any politician on either side or any Party. They are all wealthy and 1/3 are former lawyers/judges which makes them scum as far as I'm concerned. They get free haircuts, limo rides, and don't even show up to 'work'. Look how empty the damn room is.
as of march 20,09 , we are talking about two trillion . they say that that is the equivalent of all the gold that has been mined in the last two thousand years..
This whole bailout crap is nothing more than the privately owned Federal Reserve and IRS trying to save itself. The government goes to the Federal Reserve, they print the 700 billion out of thin air, the fed takes it's cut of the money, loans it to the government, government spends it and makes everyone think it has to pay taxes to pay it back. Who or what exactly is getting paid back? It was printed out of thin air which just devalued the existing money, which in reality is a tax. We're screwed
"What's not understood...is we're paying an enormous tax in several ways. One is when you centralize capital whether through Wall St. or Washington in ways that are non-economic, you shrink total wealth. You centralize it so it goes up in the hands of a few, you end up with more billionaires...You're sending the blood to the toes and the fingers, and you're cutting it off from the hearts and the lungs of the economy so to speak." --Catherine Austin Fitts
While I don't like the idea of the bailout, I believe that business that make bad decisions should go out of business, & I think Paulson was given way too much power. But the govt had to act. If companies like AIG, Lehman Bros, & the entire US Auto industry went bankrupt, Unemployment would go through the roof and GDP would contract severely. It is very hard, if not impossible for free market forces to correct a recession do to the collapse of consumer confidence. The Govt has to do more.
Though it would be a good start to freeze the bailout money and then repeal the bailout bill so that Paulson won't have sole authority over $700 billion. If congress is going to do this...congress should be in charge of controlling the money, more control, prevents reckless ill advised decisions.
The fed has caused these problems. And an out of control spending govt.If you dont have the money in the bank i guess you can enslave its citizens to pay that debt.Or atleast as long as they are willing to go along with the scam. The system is broke and loaning more money that isnt there will not work.Far as im concerned the feds can take their fake money and their debt and go back to the countries they slithered here from.
i lost all trust in governments. they are so dangerous. i think governments will become obsolete in th future to a much simpler role like just protecting its poeple from each other. definately not to manage the economy they are so pathetic at it.
Whos going to bail out the govt?I know im broke i cant do it,I dont borrow money on things i cant afford,Rhey should do the same. They put us in the mess we are in so why give them welfare.Govt you need to do your dam job and protect this country not the international banks..end the fed.
I applaud this man. Something worthy of true respect was said on the floor of the Senate this day. This is how one moves toward deserving the term 'distinguished'.

That's insane!
The monetary policy won't be stable if we just leave it up to private banks. The Fed stablizes the monetary policy.

The government really can't go bankrupt because it has the ability to refinance & levy taxes.
The defecits will shrink when the economy expands again. Due to cuts in government spending and the progressive income tax.
Though I do agree that the spending on the bailout was not very wise fiscally. Especially since Paulson will be calling all the shots.

the fed is a criminally run organistion it does not benefit you or me.
ABOLISH THE FEDERAL RESERVE!!!
why is a country going into debt to a private organisation when it has the legal opportunity to issue its own money interest free?

good for Inhoff. So few politicians are on top of this, meanwhile the economy slides down and down and the government spends and spends.
