Not a bad voice, but the presentation as a whole is weak. S&E is a respectable place. You should have dressed nicely. And stop fidgeting. You mess up the air paths by moving and it comes out in your voice. Plant yourself and stay still.

I feel bad for her because her accompanist wasn't the greatest. Beautiful voice!! I have just one piece of advice: when you plan on going to solo and ensemble, start searching for an accompanist a month or so ahead of time so you can practice with them and they can have enough time to learn the music.

I just went threw my first solo ensemble yesterday... although my teacher wanted me to do a solo, i said no and sang in a group instead...just to get the feel of it first. it is very nice to watch what a solo is like. You can tell she is a tad nervous, and the fact she holds her stomache is a little ameture but that does not ruin the performance. her voice is like an angel and her vowels are nice!

My comment to the judges is, they are there to judge the music, not tell the contestants what songs they want to hear. If the contestants want to sing pop, then let them sing pop. All in all, I thought that was very excellent singing, the young lady has great potential.

How can you say that to her man ? Can't you see she was nervous ? Every acts like that when they're a bit shy. Her voice is quite good but i'd guess you'd do better with low note for at a high note you seem to loose some seconds till you get that high and it effects your singing. Apparently your good but keep practicing :P

because she was only in eighth grade at the time all she recieved was a classification she recieved exellent and was half a point away from supior ranking because she was not dresses approppriately. It was her first time and we didn't know what to expect. Also she should have picked folk music over pop is what she was told... i think for an eighth grader she did good, but im mom so i am bias
