this song makes me cry... reminds me of a hard time in my life. i watched that movie "joshua" and looked for that song on the internet... that movie is a masterpiece but so sad and disturbing.

1st thing don't use the word psychotic it is misused greatly in that context. He only made them look abusive and crazy. Also he was supposedly very intelligent but it didn't really show until the song which kind of gave me the feeling the whole series of events were planed meticulously by Joshua. They just didn't have that appearance until the song in the end.

Then 15 seconds later Joshua starts singing the song until the movie ends with his uncle having that look in his eye, like OMFG my brother-in-law was right!
Although they make it seem like that at a couple points in the movie such as when the dad asks who left the mark on his lower back? And in the very end when the uncle seems like he cares so much, but IS NOT happy about all of what happened. When Joshua starts to sing it in the end the uncle looks at him and thinks about how his brother could be right about Joshua setting them up, but then turns and thinks no, not possible.
This movie is amazingly brilliant and I can clear things up for you about the end of the movie. Near the end the uncle seems like he cares a great deal about his nephew Joshua which all in all he will no matter what. I can assure you the uncle is not in on the scheme, setting the parents up (his brother-in-law aka the dad of Joshua and his sister the mother of Joshua).
the significance of this song, is that in the end he says "you always said i never missed a note, i only ever wanted to be with you" so in the end, he went through all of that to destroy his family, just to be with the uncle that he really felt cared about him
Prolly not the case. He was raised in a stable enviroment, and upon the baby this wasn't what he was surrounded by. He more than likely viewed his uncle as a stable person and went for it.
He was surrounded by a stable environment when the baby was born. My opinion is; he had more things in common with his uncle. Thats why he told his dad that he didn't have to love him. I mean the kid was obviously psychotic, he killed his own grandma, and drove his mother and father completely insane. The only time the environment wasn't stable was when Joshua made the baby cry all the time which drove the mother insane, and eventually the father too, which is what he wanted all along.

the glove... he was killing the animals and he used the glove to "re-stuff" them. he also did ALL of that JUST to live with his uncle.

Then 15 seconds later Joshua starts singing the song until the movie ends with his uncle having that look in his eye, like OMFG my brother-in-law was right!

Although they make it seem like that at a couple points in the movie such as when the dad asks who left the mark on his lower back? And in the very end when the uncle seems like he cares so much, but IS NOT happy about all of what happened. When Joshua starts to sing it in the end the uncle looks at him and thinks about how his brother could be right about Joshua setting them up, but then turns and thinks no, not possible.

This movie is amazingly brilliant and I can clear things up for you about the end of the movie. Near the end the uncle seems like he cares a great deal about his nephew Joshua which all in all he will no matter what. I can assure you the uncle is not in on the scheme, setting the parents up (his brother-in-law aka the dad of Joshua and his sister the mother of Joshua).

the significance of this song, is that in the end he says "you always said i never missed a note, i only ever wanted to be with you" so in the end, he went through all of that to destroy his family, just to be with the uncle that he really felt cared about him

Prolly not the case. He was raised in a stable enviroment, and upon the baby this wasn't what he was surrounded by. He more than likely viewed his uncle as a stable person and went for it.

He was surrounded by a stable environment when the baby was born. My opinion is; he had more things in common with his uncle. Thats why he told his dad that he didn't have to love him. I mean the kid was obviously psychotic, he killed his own grandma, and drove his mother and father completely insane. The only time the environment wasn't stable was when Joshua made the baby cry all the time which drove the mother insane, and eventually the father too, which is what he wanted all along.

that kid is so disturbing..
i mean how would a nine year old be capable of driving his mother insane,making his dad look like he was abusing him, kill his grandmother, dog and guinea pig .
weird.
and how he saw the video of how hard he was to raise as a baby and he felt like he wasent important to his parents.
and how his sister was easy and fun to raise and they gave her alot of attention and stuff.
this movie is one of my favorites...weird but still great [:
