Love means attachment to another person, and in the deadly, backstabbing world of the Sith that's a risk few can afford to take. Still, IN THEORY Sith, unlike Jedi, CAN fall in love because, unlike Jedi, nobody's going to tell them not to.
I want to know something, from a star wars expert type person. What would you call the sith who absolutely refused to fight in the name if hatred, but instead took power from their love? The code refers to anger plenty of times, but essentially, it states that the power of a true sith is their passion, so could love count?

@WojtaStudios: I don't think Nihilus was even a real Sith. He was a wound in the Force, who acted out of his hunger to consume all life. I doubt the way of the Sith held much interest for him by that point. Nihilus was beyond Sith, I don't think the Sith Code was supposed to lead to that kind of existence. I agree that Nihilus was f**king awesome though, I just see him as something entirely different to the Sith Lords.
Darth Nihlus is the best example of the sith code. He's immortal, he knows loads of powers and he annihilated all the race of Visas Mar's. He has a hunger of killing and does make the enemies shit their pants. He's a perfect sith for me. And my favorite.

@EridaniStryder Yeah, in The Old Republic, I really don't think many people will choose the republic side, and for both sides I think very few will choose to to be a non-jedi/sith character. -Continued- The Sith Code is no better, it forces people to push their negative emotions and themselves to extremes, but at the same time, it crushes selflessness, compassion and true happiness. That is why when put in some situations, someone on one side will switch to another, they're natures are starved. Grey Jedi don't work either, as no one is completely neutral, people have personalities, leaning towards one side or the other, but no one is completely light, dark or grey.

As sentient beings the practitioners be it Jedi or Sith decide which area to operate under. Both the Jedi and Sith codes are failures, as they feed only one side of our nature, and not the other. As sentient beings the practitioners be it Jedi or Sith decide which area to operate under. Neither is greater than the other it is like the classic conundrum of the irresistible force meeting the immovable object. They cancel each other out and will forever be at odds. So IMO both codes speak truths but both codes also lie if that makes sense.

Both the Jedi and Sith codes are failures, as they feed only one side of our nature, and not the other. The Jedi Code was made by people that already live the way the code dictates, and they think everyone else should be that way. They force people to conform to the code, not the code to conform to people, that's why when they finally get the chance to release their emotions, after years of suppressing their emotions, most go overboard and fall to the dark side. -Continued on next comment-

i disagree with what you think the sith code really is. The first part is right on but the rest is not what we follow. The sith and the jedi are very similar in every way. Fear my friend is the start of this journey.
