While not a terrible tune, this band is definitely lacking without DiGarmo. Maybe my expectations were to high for OMCII and subsequent albums. I used to be a huge fan, but hearing their recent works and seeing them in concert (Geoff doing his best Lounge Lizard impersonation) has kept me from ever buying anything from them again
This song off OMC2 has the IT value .... It could easily be slipped in to OMC and nobody could tell the difference for production , lyrics , music and vocals...Gotta love The Hands.. I just wish they could have stayed on this path , lyrically and production wise.
Queens rÿche is surely the best., Heavy deep lyrics, music thar really rocks, Even with all difficulties and downsides, the band still has itshonor place on the podium.
Poor Video ???/ Really???? Did you ever stop and think that might be what there going for here dumbass.... Also companies don't put up big money for videos anymore it just don't happen like that thease days. MTV doesnt even play videos anymore so who they making thease videos for?? Us the real fans so cut em some slack and show some appriciation instead of bashing them...
Not Gonna Lie, ever since Empire. They went downhill, even though they had some really good songs on the ones after. But when i heard that they where gonna make Operation Mindcrime 2, i was skeptic. But they did a real good job, Not as good as the First, but i still blare it! MINDCRIME 3 maybe?
Tates' vocals and DeGarmos' understanding of symphonic orchestral music stand alone. Operation Mindcrime was the first operatic metal. Tate sings with such passion and emotion. Nothing Pink Floyd, Rush or Dream Theater did can compare to Rage For Order or Operation Mindcrime!
i bought this CD when it came out! Ran to my car put it in my player and got ready to rock out. got home put it in my CD wall and have never played it again. What a disappointment!
@zartanhatesyou , I've noticed that as well, but I think he prefers it that way. I have met him and he seems reserved on stage but actually has a dry sense of humor and is very nice. Love all the guys and (Pamela Moore) of Queensryche! Counting down, only 2 more days until the QR concert! WOO HOO!! RYCHE ON!!
Queensryche is #1. No band even comes close to these guys. Their music rocks, and the lyrics actually have substance. They talk about real issues. That's what makes a great band and proves why Queensryche is still on the map today.
Where is Poison, Motley Crue, Guns-n-Roses and those other jerk-off bands from the 80's? Point proven.
@XmodHotRod Actually the only thing I've heard from Queensryche in the radio is Silent Lucidity... and i love that song. Now, It is totally truth that all those hard rock bands hold nothing against bands like this.
@XmodHotRod Guns N' Roses a jerk-off band? Fuck yourself hard. I can understand your dislike towards Poison and cheap glam metal bands like that but Guns N' Roses were against them too and are still legends nowadays.
@XmodHotRod I love Queensryche, but they are hardly "on the map", Crue's last album was really good (as is Sixx:AM). GnR doesn't really exist anymore (and Chinese Democracy was better than 99% of Ryche's output from the last 10 years). Bret Michaels is in the process of dying, so what would you like Poison to be doing? The only point you proved is that you have an opinion.
I love how Pamela Moore does the ghost version of Mary on the lines "can you imagine?"... chills. I'm friends with her on MySpace, she's got such an awesome voice and she's really great to her fans. Spent one evening just chatting with her. She's the best. Geoff and the boys really did good by her, love Queensryche. Operation Mindcrime 3 maybe, if things in this country get worse? Who knows.
@IzzySmith1969 I know Pamela Moore is amazing man, I just added her not to long ago. I just got into her material. Operation Mindcrime 3?....that's going to be a tough one to pull off something like that? I don't think that they'll do something like that. I know OM2 is last and final sequel their doing. What I love about them is that each album they do creative and different from what they do.
@Virini I don't know...I didn't the video was too bad...it kind of told the story in case some people didn't really know. I'd love for this to be done as a movie...both 1 and 2...I think would make for a very interesting teledrama
@Virini The video is not bad, but it could have been better. If this same video was made in '88 or '91 it would have been better because back then record companies spent more on Rock bands' videos. Now I'm surprised if I ever even see a video from a new rock song. It would have been nice if they had at least shot it on film like they would have 20 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the band paid for this themselves.
