That poor poor elephant who was shot at the end... killed in a very amateur fashion (certainly took a lot) just because he finally snapped after a lifetime of abuse and hurt. I agree that they are filming this cruelty , but at the same time they are making alot more people aware of what is happening to these poor animals. I have since learned that elephants really do not forget. That is what makes them dangerous and the people who care for them amazing. They risk their lives trying to rescue them. ANYTHING can trigger rage from an abused animal. A memory may cause a reaction. A wrong movement by a caring hand may cause a bad memory. They react and its nobodys fault. Thanks to my mom we chatted with Michael later that night. They were closing and mom asked if we could watch them care for Tony. We saw what a great man Michael and his staff are. The lights were off and Tony was washed and while chatting Michael lept onto his belly when Tony was on his side and baby talked. He said the Ex did not have room next year and would not be back. We saw Michael the next year but he has not returned. Mom is gone now yet we shared an amazing experience.

Of course it's not set up. If you actually watch closely enough you see that the camera is lower, around knee height, and it's kind of blurry, so even if it was a midget filming it, I don't think it's a set up. The camera seems hidden, like in one of those bags. I don't always agree with peta, but animals should NOT be in the circus.
