  • man, this software is the most confusing set up I have every dealt with! You have to be genius or watch two days worth of videos and 50 tech support emails to get it all up and working, even then it still is way to complicated. They need to work on the operational side of this software. I am no novice either so it was pretty annoying to a person that never has to contact tech support.

  • I just payed for this and metal foundry tryed installing all ten disks over 5 times its taken up hours of my time at first it had sounds but wouldnt show anything from metal foundry in the library I set the path still didnt work everytime I uninstall and try again it fails now it wont even make a sound, everytime i install a message pops up at the end saying wrong volume in disk? ive tried everything so frustrated I have registered both products what could be goin on

  • Recording whit Superior drummer

  • @Toontrack

Does superior drummer 2.0 work with triggers and mic's?

  • is it for pc

  • What if I DO want same sound again and again?

  • @race1717 Then you don't add the "humanize" option, and every sound is exactly the same and precise.

  • Does it works with Garage Band or Record?

  • NO TECH PHONE SUPPORT OR EMAIL SUPPORT CONTACT!!!

AUTHORIZE CODES DID NOT WORK!!! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG

  • NEIL PEART!!??!.... oh.... neil ...dorfsman....

  • I'd love it if I could run this as a plugin within ableton.

basically I want to play "layers" live and loop them.

Can I assign audio outputs from each drum to each of the above individual channels within ableton?

So say for example I set track's 1-8 within ableton as

    Kick, Snr, HH, T1, T2, T3, CY1, CY2.

I can play a kick pattern and record to ch1, Snr to ch2 etc, then let it play and I play over it?

I mean Multichannel recording of each of the samples for each kit part?

    Thanks Guys

  • whats the difference between EZdrummer and Superior drummer??

  • would this program work for live drum tracks. like a drum back track in a live music setting? and its the metal foundry needed for things like double kick? and its metal foundry a good iea to get for a progressive metal band kinda sound? or could we find what we are looking for in the normal superior drummer 2.0?

  • So I was wondering if this program can use .gog files that are usually used on drumagog?

  • Does it work with Garageband? Drag and pop, just like EZDrummer?

  • Can this be plugged into Cubase?

  • @boXHead257

    I imagine it would work.

  • I just got this software and: Oh. My. Gentle. Satan. It's absolutely incredible! I had my doubts (I never liked EZDrummer and thought it was a cheap and mechanical sounding software) and thought that installing it was just gonna take up more space than I needed it to. Nope. It was completely worth it. I'm SO happy I have this program. It's made me a better programmer altogether.

  • hi i want to connect these sounds to my electronic drumkit. how do i do it?

  • It s the best VST for drums. check out my video guys, i think that is pretty cool;)

  • so if i export a guitarpro file and open it with superior drummer, can i then open the superior drummer file with garageband?

  • se puede tocar la bateria con el teclado sin tener problemas de latencia???

  • I WANT THIS! I NEED THIS! :0

  • $250 for a drum machine?

I'm on a budget......I can barely afford EzDrummer and DFH as it is!

  • I just got Super Drummer (20gb) and installed it. I'm disappointed, the default kit is EXACTLY the same kit as the EZDrummer one. Pop/rock kit.

  • Is it possible to import drum tracks from guitar pro 5/6 into Superior Drummer?

  • @TrueDragonForceFan10 yes you just have to export the midi file from guitar pro than open iti file with ur daw and thats it .

  • Comment removed

  • i have a roland td4 kit. is it just plug and play or do i have to map it ???

  • i was wondering if i bought this software, say i had a song, guitar bass vocals etc, could i make the drum track on this software and then export it to my DAW ?

  • Does it have a sequencer? So like you can make all the beats in this program, then export them to your recording program? (I use acoustica mixcraft)

  • @ArtificialFlavaFTB2 You can just create a midi channel in mixcraft and use superior like a normal VST instrument

  • Is this better than EZDrummer? I'm not up for spending money on it if it's literally the same

  • so, can i use this with my trigger i/o?

  • so, can i use this with my trigger i/o?

  • Can you plug this into pro tools for MIDI recording?

  • @ElectricArms

    Yes, very much indeed.

  • @Toontrack tempted to get this. I have EZ Drummer and Drumkit From Hell already. Is Superior Drummer an add on or is it stand alone ? Cheers

  • I really need help with this and if anyone from Toontrack can respond, please do so. I have EZDrummer with the DFH expansion and I use Garageband. Is their a way to start a song FROM SCRATCH rather than dragging and dropping? I understand you can drag and drop, then delete or add additional hits, but I would like to start on a blank slate. If there is already a tutorial video for this, what's the name?

  • Does anyone know what the best drum software is for making dance music? cuz this looks like it's more for rock...

  • @73luckystrike73 Try the Claustrophobic kit for EZDrummer. It has alot of stuff for synth drumming... and it's ezdrummer, so it kicks ass.

  • @73luckystrike73 try the claustrophobic kit for EZDrummer.

  • @73luckystrike73 you can try with fruty loops

  • I'm new to "Drumming Software".....I use FL Studio for the crappy drum samples and the ability to make a "whole song" with fills, verse, chorus, etc. Does this or similar programs allow you to make up different parts and mix everything into one song or do you have to run it to a E-drumset or keyboard? Thanks!

  • @ToonTrack Do you know of any sw like yours, that has only guitars and bass samplers?

By the way Superior Drummer rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this the best program you guys sell? as in widest range of percussion/biggest kits and/or most versatile mixing? or is there one out there better?

  • I have one guestion. I cant find any "button" to export my beats to wav or mp3. How can I do this in this program?

  • can you make your own beats?

  • @dbreezy57 if u use guitar pro, make drums there, then export to midi file, insert it in your DAW and assign superior drummer to midi track with drums. That's how i do it.

  • @DrkaN hahahaah. I found my answer without doing the question, thanks man

  • @dbreezy57 No

  • does this have to be used in a daw or can you open it seperately then export your tracks?

  • @jimmybombimmy It doesn not work as a stand-alone program. Which means you'll have to use a DAW for it.

  • is it better than ezdrummer?

  • Isn't $300 a bit much?

  • Bulb :D

  • I thought Addictive Drums was the industry standard.

  • @trulynot AD is better but it's not as popular as SD.

  • @kalabiandarkness That's usually the way, but people think that popular means good. Ah well. I will get AD I think.

  • @kalabiandarkness What is AD? Im not sure what program that is?

  • @joebone848 Addictive Drums

  • @kalabiandarkness Ok thank you

  • I'm new to this program. Do I have to own another program for this program to run?

Or is it EZdrummer that's the expansion?

Sorry if I sound nooby but I'm just ionto computer-drumming-programming.

  • i was wondering how i could use more drums samples other than the usual DFH and all ?

which format do they have to be in ? and how do add new snares?kicks?

  • Does Superior Drummer have presets like EZ Drummer that you can just click on and get a beat going right away instead of having to set something up?

  • @jamiebuturff

Yes, Superior Drummer 2.0 comes with a bunch of MIDI files as well, available for drag and drop to your DAW.

    /Martin, Toontrack

  • @Toontrack

i had SD 2.0..but i can't find the midi files as well...can you help me?

  • my superior drummer shows me triangles on all the cymbals and drums. and when i start the program up it says "the soundstat file of the "superior" product has an unusable format. this may indicate a faulty "sound path". what can help?

  • Is this better than EZDrummer?

  • @calmdude93 EZdrummer is a low end version of this, basically.

  • @calmdude93 yes, it is... the layering is absolutely awesome

  • can i use this to make beats without electronic drums?

  • @6Extratone6 oh definitely

  • what!!!

  • Great vid :-)
