  • 80s MB fans check out my music, from Auckland, NZ....PUPSKI

  • First found these guys years back. They played at a free festival in my home city. Most of the music was awful but these guys were easily my favorite. I can still remember how amazing they sounded live. Heard they split though =[ sucks but atleast I got to see 'em. =D

  • that song needs more views, amazing!

  • Actual Punk Evolution: The Stooges/ The Ramones/ The Dead Kennedys/ The Wipers/ Agent Orange/ Drive Like Jehu/ Rockets From The Crypt/ Sleater Kinney/ ...these guys.

Radio Punk Evolution: Billy Idol/ Green Day/ Fuel/ Blink 182/ All American Rejects/ Paramore/ ...next lightweight pussy pop band to come...

Punk has 2 divisions: That which grows hair on your bawls, and that which grows your hair into a fohawk where you whine about love lost in a metrosexual Orange County accent on MTV.

  • :D

  • interesting band name. not my flavor of music, but hey, at least it's not pop!

  • eve bit the apple first in the bible...

  • She did too, in this video, they just left the snake out.

  • saw them last night, they were sososososososo good. : D

  • I love this video, it's so very TEMBLD XD Going to see them at the Cluny tomorrow night, cannot wait!

  • who cares if they re famous or not !Why should music always be related to fucking music industry or fame!Don t we all listen to songs for how we relate personally to them?

  • The point is they arrived at the wrong time in music. They had the potential to be as big as Nirvana, most british rock journalists aknowledge this. Certainly deserved it in my opinion. Musically, lyrically, style & the overall quality of both of their albums was sublime.

  • Awesome video as well as the song.

  • And in the garden, yeah, I was the first

The first to win a place on this bad earth

I lay around under the apple trees

My name is Adam in the garden of Eden

  • by far,the best band in the world, all hail 80s matchboxxxxxxxx

  • i 100% agree, no other comes close

  • LOL Pat.

  • ahhh! cant wait to see em on tue

  • But he doesnt look like that no more, hes got some wierd mousache. xD

I seem that at Godiva, fucking ace!

    x

  • Awesome song. Awesome band.

  • brilliant,

    simply brilliant!!!

  • This video rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont think that US punk bands differ from British ones that much, i mean the B-line disaster are psychobilly. The stooges were a big influence. Its not like the b-line disaster is all of what British punk has to offer. Punk styles differ from band to bands as do US punk.

  • Wow,, British punk in the UK is wayy different from the music in US. :X but, I'd have too admit the lead singer is pretty cute for a brit ^-^ (no insults intended)

  • "for a brit" :O how offensive! haha x

  • its cause u.s call blink 182 and paramore punk, we tend to do things a bit better.

  • @AJPLJSS Sorry to burst your bubble pal, but punk was originated in the U.S. of A. Maybe you should listen to some Iggy Pop & Stooges, or some Ramones, or Misfits, or a shit load of others.

  • @AJPLJSS oh, and before punk there was rock and roll. Yeah, that started here too. The rest of the world just followed suit. Ever heard of Elvis Presley? Cheers, mate!

  • @magneteye we still did it better nuf sed

  • @AJPLJSS punk rock died in 1987.

  • love it

  • the horrors came after these....listen to "chicken"

  • 80's matchbox been around for years... and besides... if you really wanna be a prick, The Cramps were around 30 years ago, and without them this wouldn't exist.

  • I freakin' love this song =] =] =]

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this band, they're seriously underrated! Should definitely get more radio air-play. And his song is as sexy as F***! :D Guy looks good. Can't wait till the next album ;)

  • My favorite band and song.

  • Fantastic song Fantastic band

  • anyone know who directed this video?

  • Right their in the garden album, the 2 CD one. Is that their offical third album or is it just a one off thing. Because I only found it when they were selling it at a QOSTA gig (Guy sold it to me himself!) and i'd never seen it before then. Guy told me that they were releasing a new one this year so is In The Garden just a rare cd in build up the their new release? Also have they got any tour dates booked yet? cheers.

  • In the Garden is, essentially, an EP that I believe they self-released so I assume there's an album on the way shortly, which is probably why they're now touring.

  • cheers man.

  • Fucking pwnage this song makes my willy try to attack the sky lol no im kiddin great shit though

  • lol replyin to my own stuff

  • this never gets old

  • fucking amazing!

  • saw them when they opened for QOTSA at brixton. They were pretty cool. The set dragged on a little (but i guess that was because i wasnt familiar with most of their stuff).

  • i saw this on the mightyboosh takeover and didnt know the song I FOUND IT!

  • I know me too! that was a well good programme its made me really like chicks on speed and lightspeed champion as well :)

  • omg! i cant beleive i missed them playing the tunnels!

damn me and my hearing of good bands too late!

  • hahaaaaaa same here at MEN they where good i enjoyed but the crowd was restless lol

glad i saw them b4 they broke

but atleast serj is back to that original sound again

  • when i 1st heard them,i thought dave vanian cud be an influence, and hoped he was,i dont think he is but ive seen these guys 4 times an they are fuckin NAUGHTY!

  • saw these guys yesterday, the opened for QOTSA, wish i had heard of them earlier, they are awesome XD

  • Tonight at The Tunnels in Aberdeen, Im just leavin the house!!!

  • TONIGHT! The old Firestation in Bournemouth (Thurs 1st November) Cant wait this band is amazin!

  • Saw them here in Portsmouth a couple of day's ago. Fucking great. The audience was a bit laid back for some reason although they obviously liked the gig. The band seemed to get a bit pissed off by it. They begrudgingly did a one song encore.

  • this band should be massive

  • no lets not stop....okay they can stop but matchbox can stay...

  • this is f***in wicked

  • Can you sound any more like The Birthday Party/Nick Cave !?

  • Well thats just mean.

    XD

I think theres something Dave Vanian and/or Jim Morrison about Guy's voice.

  • Everything sounds like something. Hell, let's just stop making music.

  • They are very Birthday Party, but there's nothing wrong with that.

  • apple of my eye

    5/5

  • i love 'matchbox, horrors are just a shite version for little girls

  • astounding , what a band , celebrate

  • Arrrrggghhhh, the 'Matchbox should be everyone's favourite band. :D

  • this is an amazin tune! absolutely in love with it! top stuff! the horrors have ripped these guys off n all!

  • I said GOD DAMN! Ah, what an excellent video. When the song was first posted on MySpace I fell in love with it. The last Liverpool gig was extraordinary. Love you so hard, my favourite band, as always. Discordia :)

  • Scala gig was amazing

  • thats bollocks the horrors were formed in 1964 in a garage in wickham were as the eighties were formed in the eighties hence the name everybody knows that!

  • ive just found my red hat, its a bit dirty but it should be ok.

  • Damn this band is insane!!!!

  • That was amazing. They're pretty much the best band in the UK right now, certainly can't think of a more potent and demented live act. Great stuff.

  • i know for a fact they made their first album at junior school, two singles were recorded at break time!

  • bless you, you really have no idea ghkhjilhdw. its sweet in a way. ^.^

  • the good shame the horrors did it first

  • Sorry ghkhjlhdw, I don't know whether you are being ironic or not but I can't see how you can say The Horrors did this stuff first. TEMBD made their first album in 2002 and they were doing this type of music/look then. The Horros would have been in junior school.

  • AGHKKKK, stop wasting your time reviewing music, go back to poping your pimples oh ye of very little knowldge

  • Your insane.

Perhaps you've missed the main criticism EVERYONE has had against the horrors since their recent (in comparison to EMBD) emergence, which is that : they are a watered down rip off of the eighties matchbox b-line disaster. You must have been living under a rock.

    Here I'll make it simple

    EMBD, formed : 1999

    The Horrors, formed : 2005

    Idiot.

  • Get da fok in...

  • well that was effin cool

  • that made me smile quite alot.

  • This is absolutley storming live, it's pure violence, thought I was going to get stamped on.

Looking forward to the new album!

  • Absolutely fucking brilliant. Uncomprimising as always. Great they are back.

  • absolutely awesome

  • Yes!

  • yes yes yes yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • yesss

  • Lock up your mothers, the best band in Europe is back!
